http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gmj3FD71aWY Love the comment on Youtube: "F'n Kenard". I agree whole heartedly.
That final scene pissed me off so f'ing much. I actually hadn't watched it since my first viewing. Blech.
I'm not that far into the show so I'm being very careful on what I read. But if you can't see why this is one of the best scenes in all of television, then you weren't really paying attention. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whwawZ1YoOc
I was almost finished with season 1 when it first came out but that was a long time ago and I stopped watching it, recently started it back up again but I'm starting over so I'm only on episode 6.
Oh man, if you appreciated the "sofa scene" you will find the final episodes of Season One profound. Remember this line "Where's Wallace, String?" It is at the end of the first season that you fully realize the greatness of The Wire.. Each season has it's own unique direction, but all are equally great.
Ah. And yeah, that's what my friend, who's a huge fan, says, that every season is a different direction. It was really hard for me not to go ahead and watch the "100 best quotes" video. Do you watch Friday Night Lights? Probably the most underrated show as of recent. The kid who plays Wallace is one of the main characters for seasons 4 and 5. P.S - I watched "The Road" the other day and Omar had a scene in it. Pretty good movie, really depressing, and Omar's scene was pretty hard to watch.
I haven't watched FNL but it's on the list. Yeah his scene in The Road is tough. He's had a few moments in Boardwalk Empire but I hope he gets some more facetime in Season 2..
