    Yeah.

    I like Olsen from NCIS LA too. Solid cast.

    Glad it's a prequel. MacReady is irreplaceable.

    Watched the origanal again 2 weeks ago and it's still bang on.

    You know, honestly, I probably should revile something like this. A remake, oh pardon me, a prequel to perhaps my most beloved film and one that I probably hold as the absolute best horror film that I've ever seen. This should be hallowed material, and it should burn me up that it's even considered being made.

    But I won't. Not yet. Because promises have been made. Promises of sparse CGI and a reliance on REAL special effects and makeup. Promises of respect and contemplation towards the mood and spirit of the Carpenter film. Because the director seems to understand what made the predecessor an undeniable classic.

    The trailer is good, and everything I've heard about it makes me cautiously optimistic.

    Sounds promising but the director Fede Alvarez gets the gig based on this???
    Still after Spiderman 3 maybe Raimi isn't the man for the job.

    Diablo Cody and Ghost House, not a good sign.
    The Evil Dead isn't the kind of flick that can make the jump into the hands of big-budget Hollywood types. The entire "spirit" of the film (lol) will be lost with the CGI treatment.

    And furthermore.. No Bruce, No Evil Dead. Simple as that. (Marc Senter... maybe)

    I will say this though, thank God Michael Bay did attain production privileges on this one. He's ruined everything he's touched in the 70s/80s horror remake world..

    I sent a note to Marc Senter last night that he should go after the role of Ash (I think he'd be perfect) - and got an immediate response - as follows:

    "Jeano you are a good man my friend. I would love to step into those shoes! I think I'm gonna have to look into it pal... I wouldn't dare let the Bruce fan's down!"

    Pretty cool eh?
