Calling a RB one of the least valuable positions in the league more or less eliminates any credibility you may have had. Sure, they're replaceable, but anyone we bring in to replace Johnson would be an enormous downgrade. He is the only threat this team has other then KB, and we don't have anyone to throw him the ball.

Are these people serious about trading him? Titans O-line was inexperienced in the interior and it showed tremendously. Look at any film from his 2K season and you will see how much of an impact Mawae had. He had great blocking but I doubt any average back would have as good of a season as he did.

This year with the O-line he still managed top 5 in rushing and was up there in tackles broken (according to a titans tweet). CJ is elite and of we trade him it will be the dumbest thing this franchise will ever do!!!

Stephen Jackson's ypc is average every year by your standard. That's because the rest of his team is garbage. Much like CJ and the Titans. The fact that he gained 1350 yards and 11 TD is impressive considering every teams gameplan revolved around stopping him. You're just a hater. 40% skill? He's one of the most freakish athletes in the league and one of the fastest people in the world.

Lets quit using the Eddie George comparison. Eddie George never had a chance at being a CJ level runner. Lets call it what it is: Eddie George was a great college player who never panned out in the NFL. He was a warrior, heart of a lion, no doubt, but the guy is flat overrated by every Titan's fan out there. Fisher was an idiot the way he used CJ, sure, but Eddie George isn't even in the same conversation as CJ. He'd be more like the next Shaun Alexander or Ladanian Tomlinson. A truly dominant player who fell off because of overuse and a deteriorating OL in SA and CJs case.

Chris Johnson says he'd be fine with carrying the ball more in 2011 to take pressure off rookie QB Jake Locker.

"I feel like (Jake) can come in and do some good things, but I think at the start I am going to have to take some pressure off of him," Johnson said on Saturday. "In order for him to be more successful, we’re going to have to get the running game going and not have to rely on him so much, and I know that starts with me. Ideally, Johnson would be to avoid another 300 carry season in 2011, but it's not likely.

just when Palmer wants him to run less, he goes and says he wants to run more.

Trying to twist that quote into a bad thing is ridiculous. He's saying that he's got Jakes back and wants to help him succeed by lightening his load. That's awesome.

Coltkiller, I only meant using the Eddie George comparison in the sense that if he played for any coach other than Fish his career would have been longer. I don't want the same thing to happen to CJ.

Its funny Jesse just brought up Locker cuz that's another point I wanted to make. Having CJ behind Locker is a huge benefit. It at the very minimum should take some pressure off of Locker. The other thing is that Locker isn't a whole lot different than our former QB. He's stronger on the run and out of the pocket. Having CJ and a mobile QB is very dangerous. Tell me Vick didn't benefit from having McCoy behind him and McCoy didn't benefit from having Vick in front of him. I hope they allow Locker to play to his strengths while he practices his weakness. If you take CJ out of that mix he's going to see a lot more pressure and we all know if Amano stays in at center he's not going to help that situation any.

The team has a few big problems right now. You don't get rid of one of the few areas you're very strong in because of something like this. Pay the guy and leave it alone. And as for his contract, he was never given more money or a new deal. They just shaved a little off the later years and stuck it on last year. I for one really hope they can get something worked out cuz if they don't someone else surely will.

If the Titans could get two first rounders (2012 1st and 2013 1st) as well as a few other latter round picks for trading CJ, then I would support that decision.

The only thing that will make me pissed off is if we don't pay CJ or trade him and he just sits part of the season out while we negotiate. Either trade him or pay him, but no lengthy holdouts.

C.J. would be dumb not to ask for more money right now, however, I do believe he knows he aint getting $h*t. IMO he'll have to wait til his current contract runs out, THEN he should be paid what he's worth.

If that's the case I expect CJ to holdout half the season (assuming its a full season)
