Wyatt said in a tweet that Johnson was "still being politically correct" when asked about his contract situation on Saturday, but does not expect him to report this year without a new deal. After settling for a small raise last summer, Johnson, who is currently set to make a base salary of $800,000 in 2011, said he would seek a "history deal" this year.

oh snap! not this again. he wont get a history deal, he cant even break dickersons yards in a season.

This is pointless if there isn't a new CBA. He also can't get a new deal until July anyway, since he signed his raise contract in July and you can't renegotiate a contract twice in one year.

We need CJ. Pay the man.

He played injured last year and was still productive despite horrible playcalling. Has he missed a game yet due to injury?

    Pay me!!

    I mean, pay CJ2k!!

CJ has earned a new deal. Definitely needs to be one of the top paid RBs. The money he is getting now is a flat out joke. Munch will get it done.

I knew it, I told people here that he will hold out. I say trade him RB's come dime a dozen. I like Ringer anyway.

    I would jump for joy.

A huge package deal is the way to go about this. Sure, $800k is not enough for CJ (in comparison to what other superstars make in the league), but we don't need to be giving him a "record deal" when he's likely only going to be effective for two more seasons.

He already lost a step this past season and it was pretty noticeable.

I'm all for getting rid of him now if we can get a lot in return. Now's the time. His best seasons are most definitely past him. It's all downhill from here.

We'd just have to be sure to send him out of the AFC South and preferably out of the AFC altogether... I don't want to think about the Colts, Patriots, Steelers, Chargers, etc. with CJ.
