Not really. Look at the top ten of the major categories, it's pretty evenly distributed and you might even say the SEC is underrepresented.

Two quarterbacks and they're both named Manning. One runningback. One wide receiver. two players in the top ten in tackles(Jerod Mayo and Patrick Willis). Two players in the top ten in sacks, although there were technically 14 guys in the top ten. Two DBs in the top ten in picks, again, technically 18 guys in the top ten.

Three QBs from both the ACC and Big Ten. Runningback was pretty evenly distributed. Three WRs from the ACC. Three guys from both the Big Ten and ACC were in the top ten in tackles. INTs was pretty evenly distributed.

The SEC didn't lead in a single category that I could see.

In reality, aren't those the guys who are considered the tops at their respective positions? Aren't the best players supposed to come from the SEC? I will admit tackles is a pretty lame stat to bring up, but there isn't a lot more you can use other than actually watching each guy play every snap.

I went back in 2009 to take a look to see if this year was an aberration and and it didn't look like it. The SEC gained a passer in 2009(Favre), but lost a guy at a position or two, also.

And to be honest, it didn't seem like at first glance it would have helped the SEC much at all if you go as far as the top twenty. The only place the SEC made up any ground was at runningback, mostly due to Arkansas' backfield of Mcfadden and Hillis.

well if you are talking farm system replacement then I would consider the whole roster more appropiate, but I'm not gonna do the counting.

Lead, as in, have the most players represented. My bad.

The ACC puts out better talent than the SEC... that's for certain. They always have. The b10 does just as well.

And most other conferences aren't far behind- if at all.

Why can they still not produce one good qb- even though their qbs in college look great going up against those "great SEC defenses"? lol

What have Stafford, Newton, Tebow or Campbell done? Even Cutler was traded away.

Campbell is a nice QB at best. I'm afraid we're never going to find out what Stafford is capable of because of injury. Newton and Tebow will be eventual busts, in my opinion.
