When considering accuracy, you can't look just at the completion percentage. That does tell an important part of the story, but not the whole story. You also need to look at the offense. Locker had no TE to throw too, really. It's not part of the offense. It's very vertical, with a lot of low completion throws, but one that also gives him more room to run as a QB. This will lower his completion percentage. Also, look at how often he had to throw the ball away because all his guys were covered. Look at how many plays called for short, dump passes (not many). The better way to look at accuracy is to watch the guy play. When he throws the ball, does it go where he's aiming? Yes or no?

Unfortunately, even that's not very clear in this case. When he's on the run, he's pretty accurate. From the pocket, he's less so. What does this mean? Well, it might mean that he's overthinking it and does better when he can't think too much. It might mean he doesn't trust his pocket. It might be a vision issue. I don't know.

Thinking Locker will make it past round 1 is like Fisher thinking Blunt will never get noticed on the practice squad. Locker wont make it past the 13th pick.

He won't make it past the 25th pick. I could see the Redskins and Vikings passing on Locker. Teams like Miami and Jacksonville could also take Locker. Then I don't see another Locker wanting team until Seattle, which would be Lockers hometown team. I also could see #24 (Saints), being a highly wanted pick. Saints don't have alot of needs, and could also trade down and get extra picks. If Locker falls, watch out for teams trading with New Orleans for him, if no trades happen I think he's a lock at #25 to Seattle.

I've heard it all, seen it all. He had one of the best QB coaches in the country teaching him. I've seen 6 games on Locker, plus some. His accuracy, IMO, is not fixable. It rarely ever is. He has the uncanny ability to throw it from any position, but when the pass requires pinpoint accuracy, he can't do it consistently.

The pick will be Fairley, so this is moot :)

    Here's the real question guys.

Pretend you're the Titans FO. Do you take a defensive player at #8 and wait for Locker later? If he does fall past the Redskins and Eagles, he will probably fall to the mid-20s. We could trade back up for him in the 1st and gobble him up, at what cost though? Or would you play it safe and just take him at #8?

If we beleive he is our guy, you dont wait you take him there at 8. The real question is, do they feel he is our guy

So why did he average less than 7 yards an attempt in a vertical offense?

His career YPA at Washington was 6.65. Is that vertical?

Cam Newton averaged 10.14 YPA and still completed 66% of his passes. Locker's career comp % was 53.9%.

So justify that for an 8th pick. 53.9% and only 6.65 yards per pass.

Locker's numbers are weak. Chris Relf of Miss St. had better numbers than Locker. relf is big and strong and can run maybe we can use next years first on him after Locker looks like a bust.
