Uh.... wii is a flick of the wrist, and is very limited, yet is great?... The games are garbage too that include the motion. Kiddie games that no one really wants to play if they're older than 12.

you can't like one and diss the other.

Wii is no more limited than a regular controller. It has buttons and a stick. And who is saying it is great?

Game opinions are just that, opinions. But they have hardcore games (Resident Evils, Metroid, etc).

Kinect has nothing. You can never, ever play a hardcore game on Kinect. At the very best, you will get a game on rails that you waggle your hand to do stuff.

I use Kinect every day, i was actually video chatting with my friends wife the other night. that could lead to something just between me and her :)

Also it comes in handy while watching movies cause you can speak to the Kinect instead of using the controllers and wasting batteries. The games are for kids, but MS said some mature games are in the works. this thing just came out last Nov....it's not even close to what it can do. Plus im sure it'll be even more high tech for the next Xbox.

Like someone said, it's a cool gadget.
It's not a gaming device. Never will be. It might be a good supplementary device to a controller, but MS were talking crap when they promoted this thing.

No one has ever explained or shown how these mature games will play because they can't.
You cannot walk in a Kinect game, you cannot reload (unless you do a stupid arm gesture) or successfully aim a grenade (how does it measure your arm strength or force of throw?), how will you climb? or jump across a gap? Good luck playing any RPG. How will you drive? How long do you think you can hold your arms up in the air holding an imaginary wheel?

What about playing a game like Mass Effect and actually being able to interact with the characters? Instead of selecting the dialog you can just sit in your room and talk to the TV like an .
I understand the scepticism but I think if the right minds got together something special could come from the kinect.
That Milo tech demo from the Fable guys was impressive. I wonder what happened to it...

If it recognised your words maybe but no AI is smart enough to react to what you say so it would be scripted sentences. Regardless, that's still complimentary.

More lies from the guy that over-hypes everything he does.

    Steve Jobs?

And every one of your arguments can be said about the Wii as well...

Play a Wii and come back, you clearly have no idea.

Uhhh... I own both a wii and kinect.

And the Kinect is only about 10x's more advanced and actually feels legit. It actually detects motion or knows somewhat what you're doing. The wii doesn't.

The wii is wiitarded. Always has been. When it can't even detect motion correctly- but is a motion based gimmick.. uhhh? Ever played wii tennis? Boxing? They're stupid because to win you can't do anything resembling playing tennis or boxing... instead you flick your wrist to simulate... wrist flicking? It's pointless.
