I'm down to two quarterbacks. Mallet and Stanzi. Thoughts?

Not sure how I gave off the Alabama redneck vibe. I'm clearly from Tennessee and despise most things about Alabama. Pretty much the worst place I've ever lived. Perhaps I'm still mad Tennessee didn't pull together another hundred thousand so SCam could have come to Knoxville. Oh well. The Aubs will get that title stripped away sooner or later.

Is your forum name representative of where you are from or a poor attempt at humor?

    RollTide?

Am I to assume you are a Bama fan/maybe alum who has some type of man crush on an Auburn player?

All the experts, talking heads, coaching staffs, RollTides and scouts have been wrong about players before. There are numerous examples of "busts". I simply have said over and over that Cam is at a disadvantage coming into the league do to his lack of experience and the system he ran. I'm sorry but these seem like pretty solid arguments against the guy. I don't hate him. I just don't want the Titans to draft him.

So why don't his 4th quarter numbers improve near as much as Stanzi's??

You guys watched one game where he seemed clutch.

Remember the NC game where he continuously missed wide open targets? Yeah... not so clutch.

    Uh... No. I didn't.

The post is still here... quote it and show exactly what I said.

"Ponder is the best qb in this class IF he can stay healthy"

You can't seem to understand the word if, because this is at least the 3rd time you've tried to manipulate that post.

Pretty pathetic, honestly... just making things up? Grow up.

Wear do you get your numbers? Rectal avenue? I swear i have never seen a person who posted more bullcrap. You never do any homework you never look up things for yourself!

    Passing rating quarter by quarter..

    Stanzi:

    1st 159
    2nd 151
    3rd 182
    4th 138

Earth to Duece Stanzi's numbers were the worst in the 4th quarter! But still not bad.

    Cam Newton
    1st 197
    2nd 171
    3rd 181
    4th 187

Newton's 4th quarter rating was almost 30 points better than Stanzi and his 2nd best of all the quarters!

Pretty pathetic is right! Newton tears it up in the first quarter, plays great in quarters 2 and 3 and then takes it up a notch in the 4th.

    What? The state sucks. So...
You seem to have some love for it. Sorry.
Filed my Alabama state income tax last week... Now I hate Alabama even more!
My absurd hate for the state of Alabama has little to do with how much Cam sucks.
Seriously he went to the University in Auburn and that is almost in Georgia. I can't hold that against him.

Now, instead of just pulling the rating, be fair and pull YARDS, TDS, etc...

Cam Newton's generic passing style of course makes it easier to keep his RATING up. When he's throwing for 10 yards a quarter...

    (2009, but point remains)

Keep in mind, he actually runs a pro-style offense... not some dink and dunk generic garbage that Cam Newton butters stats in.

Miss St, Clemson, South Carolina, UK, LSU, and Bama he came up big. What did stanzi do except throwing a TD on the final second? That's not clutch that's luck man.

Oh and also did you ever think maybe the reason why Stanzi's numbers go up in the 4th is because they play from behind most of the time so he throws the ball more? Also adding to Roll Tide's post Cam also uses his legs so his pass attempts aren't as high as Stanzi.

For the record I say hell no to Cam but giving this much love for Stanzi isn't bright when he hasn't shown anything more than any other QB prospect. I could make a case for Kaep being our top pick because he beat Boise St or Jake Locker beating USC. So how do those couple of late wins by Stanzi become more relevant than any other QB?

He's known as one of the most clutch QBs in the nation. The most clutch in 2009.

That's not just due to the flipping of a coin.
