Ford won't be here either. It'll be weird how we're about to let 3 of our better players go.

We need a DE, give me Bowers please.

Bowers-JJ-Brown-Morgan is just plain sick and nasty I would love to see that.

If that's the case, guys I stand corrected; but I would think we're bringing back at least one if not two of those three. Free Agency will be abbreviated this year and I doubt teams will overpay ALL of them.

Even so, DE is ridiculously deep in this draft, and Reinfeldt has done well finding good rotational players deep. I don't see a DE being the BPA when we pic in the first, either.

I think that was more Washburn than Reinfeldt when it comes to finding late DL talent.

Washburn was a great D-line coach, but given how little success he had with some of the trash Reese handed him, you've got to give Reinfeldt some credit.

GM picks the players, Washburn turned week old chicken into chicken salad. He didn't have much say in who was drafted, but gave the GM an idea of what he needed. I suspect we'll get better defensive guys coming in than in the past.

Wash didn't have much success so far with Marks and apparently he had some say in picking him. But JJ has been a good player except for his injury issues.

The problem with guys like Ford and Babin being re-signed is that they might not fit our new system. If we are going to play the DEs a little tighter and have them play more of a 7 gap instead of the 9 gap guys like Ford and Babin aren't going to be as effective. I do think Hayes and Morgan fit that much better and Ball would be the guy to bring back for depth. Also, if we want to get bigger at DT JJ doesn't fit. So just speculating they might move JJ to DE where he fits the new scheme there making DT a more immediate need.

You mean Ford, Babin, and Ball? A player made of glass, a walking penalty flag, and a guy named Ball represent three of our better players? Oh god help us :sad2:

Sadly yea, they're 3 of our better players from last year. Sucks, I know.

I cant understand why people keep listing Brown. He isnt that good. He only played above average when he had Big Al next to him playing for a contract. I think he is really average AND I think he is done. His knee isnt seeming to get any better.

    JJ Cant Stay Healthy
T Brown - Produced for Us But On the Down Side of His Career
    Javon Haye - Just Average
    Sen'Derick Marks - WHO?

How could we NOT draft a DT in the first two rounds?
