onetontitan, that list looks like it's for me because I haven't seen many of those...

Rear Window - Never seen it.
Clockwork Orange - Saw about half of it; didn't like it.
    8 1/2 - Never seen it.
2001: A Space Odyssey Too slow for me.
The Good, Bad and Ugly series - It's been a long, long time.
Apocalypse Now - Never seen it.
Taxi Driver - Enjoyed it, recognize it as a classic, but not my cup of tea.
Boogie Nights - Didn't like it.
North By Northwest - Never seen it.
Raging Bull - Never seen it.

I just have a feeling I'd be let down on some of the ones I haven't seen. I must see Apocolypse Now though. I've been wanting to for a long time.

Classics aren't gonna be nearly as good if it's your first time watching it 30 years later. Different time, and because you already set the bar really high. All the big names made before the 90's that you want to see, I'd stay away from reading a bunch of reviews and just go straight to the movie.

So many oldies I would have loved so much more if I didn't browse through imdb first.

I've lived in 4 different decades and two different millenniums. I can't be a kid!

And if you think my taste in movies is bad, talk with my friends. Terrible.

Maybe those two years you've got on me, oneton, make all the difference.

Sorry. A Clockwork Orange is the greatest lie in movie history.

    Unique does not = quality.

And it's aged terribly. That's a movie I actually wanted to like for some reason, but it felt like watching just pure mess.

I don't know if I've seen another movie as bad, honestly.

A dystopian universe isn't supposed to age at all. I hope you understood that, at least. Also, it was an adaptation from the book of same name. It had certain things it had to cover, even if people don't like it. I think the movie is a masterpiece and is ultimately perfect.

Apocolypse Now is a dynamite flick! If you enjoy it, you may also enjoy The Deerhunter, Full Metal Jacket or even Platoon.

If you see North by Northwest, you might get addicted to Cary Grant stuff. The dude is so smoooooth with the ladies but he's also got a pretty good feel for humor too (like George Clooney).

I'm not too fond of Clockwork Orange either. I remember when it came out, it was rated X at the time because it was so bizarre. I've tried watching it a few times the past couple years and it doesn't float my boat.

If you haven't seen them, I would highly recommend The Exorcist or The Omen. The originals, not the sequels.
