If you don't like someone in the 2nd, take a later pick on someone, get a vet (like is going to happen anyway), see what happens, and try again next year if needed.

What happens if the Titans take Locker 8th, he starts from day one, looks terrible, and the team is 2-14 and has a shot at Luck? Do you stick with the guy you took? Or keep taking 1st rounders Matt Millen style?

One of the ESPN scout articles said that Kapernick or Dalton would best suit us if we waited to round 2 considering he's there at round 2. Didn't Nevada have like the highest scoring offense in the nation next to Orgeon last season? The catch a lot of people are saying Kapernick has is that he played out of "the pistol" formation a lot which I guess you can technically say is from the shotgun in a spread offense. I never watched any of Nevadas games, I just saw highlight reels on ESPN, he seems to be a baller.

Ouch, the scenario that Jimmy Clausen is in right now. I bet he feels real good about his status in Carolina knowing that they were going to pick Luck if he had went into the draft. I know he didn't go in the first, but he was a big name pick and it will make news regardless if Carolina grabs a QB in the 1st or 2nd.

Absolutely not. If you take a QB in round 1, he gets at least 3 years. Now, if you take one in round 2, we go 2-14, and next year can get Luck then yes, you take Luck.
I've said all along, the team needs to decide if there is a "franchise" QB in this draft, and if there is, be aggressive to get him. If there is not one, then you take the BPA, until that player is a QB and hope he pans out.

I'm now mad at Andrew Luck. If he comes out, he goes No.1 to Carolina, we can sit back and take Locker in the 2nd.

I'm probably biased on this, but I think that Kaepernick has the best arm in the draft... unfortunately, it's overshadowed by other weaknesses such as footwork and release...
but if he works on those, he may turn out to be a very good QB

looks like OC Chris Palmer and VP of Player Personell Ruston Webster are visiting Cam, and QB Coach Dowell Loggains and Scouting Director Blake Beddingfield are visiting Mallett, per Wyatt twitter.

Wow KC Joyner is the ultimate expert now? Is that the same KC self described genius a-hole Joyner who said that Peyton Manning was just playing on reputation? the same arse who said that Michael Vick was lucky last year and the same arse who thought Clausen was the real deal and could be another Drew Brees? That KC Joyner?

I would rather think for myself than just post up some loser's comments.

Is he going to apologize for being a moron when Newton is a stud player in a year or 2?

In his love for Clausen he brags about his decision making ability. What about Newton's decision making ability? He only threw 6 ints and completely 66% of his passes.

I thought his comments were lame.

Comments like this are just total nonsense. Because some players in the past supposedly had great physical gifts and didn't live up to them then that suggests that Newton will fail? So being big and strong and having a great arm is bad for a QB?

And the idiot names three players who are not even QBs anyway. So what is the logical end to that point? Less raw physical ability is preferable?

In 2007 he wrote a piece saying that Mark Bulger was not appreciated enough. What has Bulger done since?

Why do people say Cam Newton doesn't have the mental problems Vince had?

... Vince had no mental issues until he started losing- something Cam hasn't experienced yet.

Cam could easily be completely overwhelmed in the NFL and give up.
