Or maybe he just doesn't see things the way that you do. Maybe he wants to win.

If you look at this year's playoffs, every team had a 1st round QB with the exception of Brady and Brees. Not saying it can't happen with a later pick but you need a stud at QB in today's pass happy league.

    Well...

I agree using the 8th pick on a qb is a bad idea. And while your idea of creating competition at qb is a good one, it is unrealistic that we would trade a 2nd rnd pick for Flynn, give him a new contract for starters money and then NOTake him our starting qb. And then you want to sign a vet qb who can start and invest another big pick in another qb?

Why would a mcnabb want to come here if he wasn't starting?

Also keep in mind that if the cba isn't resolved shortly that no rookie could start since it looks probable this will last quite a while. So that would mean a rookie qb couldn't be signed, learn the playbill or fix their technical flaws until the cba is resolved.

Given that, the likely starters are a vet starter ala mcnabb, a vet stopgap like Kerry Collins who will start til a rookie is groomed, or we trade for a kolb or Flynn.

Given that kolb, Flynn, and Orrin all have only one year left in their contracts, we'd have to trade and then sign them to a hefty multiple-year deal. If you didn't give thematic new contract after trading a 2nd rnd pick, they would simply leave for another team in need of a qb and we'd be back to square one but without a 2nd rnd pick.

Great analysis. The only snag is that Flynn is unavailable. Kolb is a maybe, but if he's not acquired before the draft the chances of getting him go down significantly.

Why is it BS? Because if Munch had really said what was quoted, it would be all over the different news sites, not ONLY on some obscure blog that just started up.

The guy is making crap up as he sees fit, hence why it's a blog and not a news outlet.

If you can find that quote backed up in at least one other news source, I will jump on the bring back VY bandwagon with you.

Fair enough. We'll see what comes out. We probably won't know for sure until after the draft.

While on the subject of the blog, check out who supported Young and who supported Fisher. Apparently some players were only on the team because they were friends with Fish. All of the key players supported Vince.

    Pretty interesting if true.

Yeah I saw that... and took it as much the same of the rest of the blog. I honestly would not be surprised to see the blog disappear as soon as the Titans legal team gets wind of it.

i wouldnt be surprised if vy is back and we give our rookie qb a year to learn the nfl defenses and play speed and since i would be a second round pick he could battle it out with vince too

but the perfect scenario....we trade v and our 2nd to get tim tebow from the broncos since orton was claimed the starter hahhahahahahahaha

anyone who wants a young qb needs to look in the draft not someone who has been riding the pine the past couple seasons and we expect them to come in and lead our team??? mise well throw a rookie qb to start for us....

and if you want flynn cause of how he played this year why not get the steelers back up dixon or whatever he didnt do terrible when he played for them...

its easy sign a vet, draft a rookie
