    Wonderlic prediction for Ponder: 38.

Ryan Leaf had a great wonderlic score.

Anybody who thinks Ponder is a better prospect than Newton is missing something. Ponder does not have a great arm. In fact he has a weak arm and has injured his throwing elbow.

In the what have you done for me lately category what about Ponder's 1-5 performance against the same South Carolina defense that Newton walked all over 2X? After being dominated Ponder then got his arse kicked and came out of the game with

And Jake Locker, can we remember that 5-16 performance against Nebraska or his poor senior bowl?

Christian Ponder a smart guy with the Danny Wuerffel arm. :sad2:

His arm looked fine to me today, I don't know what you're talking about. Plus, he has that quick release, and he's probably the most accurate QB in this draft.

I love how Ponder looked like every hall of fame QB combined against tiny Samford in the season opener and then disappeared against Oklahoma.

Who did Cam Newton disappear against?

And how do you come to that conclusion? He completed 61% of his passes this year playing in a west coast offense.

Also he is ideally suited for a west coast offense. Is that what we are going to run?

Look at that, CJtheBeast high-fived you. Somehow that brings more credibility to my argument.

Right, because QBs who are accurate ONLY fit the WCO.

    Either ponder or locker.

I didn't say that. I said he is ideally suited for that type of offense. He's Matt Lienert with a much less storied career.

It's funny how Cam Newton had a less than perfect workout so that supposedly hurt him but QBs like Ponder and Locker can completely disappear in real games and it doesn't hurt them?

Newton's average passing rating in his 2 games against South Carolina was 186. Ponder sported a 30 rating(1-5 6 yards) until leaving with a seperated shoulder.

Newton's worst game passing was against LSU with a 107 rating but he also ran for 217 yards.

Jake Locker lol!!!! 8th pick? :sad2:

Jake Locker against a real defense looked like Rusty Smith against the Texans.

In his 2 games against Nebraska Locker was a combined 9-36. WTF! 8th pick for that?

Locker is an advertisement for us drafting Prince Amukamara since he and the Nebraska secondary owned that guy!

I would rather draft Julio Jones(aka fing beast!) 8th and go with Kerry Collins and Rusty Smith than draft locker or Ponder. Maybe in rd 2 but neither is even close to top 10 caliber.
