Bob Sanders released from the Colts

He runs fast, hits hard, covers poorly and gets hurt. Meh I'd probably take him over Hope but at this point I'd rather take Vince Wilfork playing safety over Hope.

 

instead of paying Bob Sanders, why not just pay me, and I can at least clean the locker room. Thats more than they will get out of Bob Sanders while he is on the IR. Dont get it twisted, thats where he is going regardless of who he signs for. I say pass, dont even consider it.

 

But we love our Colts rejects.

 

Harper was decent for us in 07-08, he wasn't a shutdown corner by any stretch of the imagination however. David Thornton is not a defensive back, but Jason David was go look up how long he lasted with the Saints. Guy got torched so bad they cut him after half a season I believe.

 

bernard pollard is a horrible safety and he gives the colts on average 2 tds a game because he cant cover to save his life

 

Bernard Pollard took out Brady in week 1 of the 2008 season.

Sanders was at the Jags facility for a physical today

 

If he can actually play, he's an upgrade for them and for most teams, but he can't be seen as anything more than a stopgap guy. You can't rely on him to be there week-to-week, let alone year-to-year.

 

He's visiting Buffalo next.

 

I'd take Sanders, he's worth the risk. Yes, he's ALWAY hurt.. but when healthy he's a top 5 safety. Pick-up Sanders for an average contract, draft a 2nd-4th round SS. Sign Rolle to the team. Sanders - Rookie - Rolle would be our depth. So if Sanders did get hurt, we'd be alright... oh ya and cut Hope!
