I hear a lot of criticism of Rusty because of the bad game he had this year. I think it would be unfair to judge him as a player by the one bad game he had against Houston. None of the Titans played well that game. The defense couldn't stay off the field. Heck, CJ only had 5 yards the entire game. Imagine if we judged him by his performance in that one game. Do you remember how many drops our WR's had against Houston? It was at least 5 or 6. Those plays could have extended drives and made Rusty's stats look a lot better and made him more comfortable. Granted, Rusty didn't play great. He had 3 Int's.

I'm not saying Rusty is our long term answer at QB, I'm just saying the coaches and fans should give him more than that one chance to prove himself. Every player has a bad game. Remember, the game he started was the game after the Fisher vs. VY incident and there was so much drama surrounding the Titans that I'm not sure half of the QB's in the league could have come in and gotten a win. Much less a rookie.

Rusty definitely has the skill set to be successful. He's got a rifle (the Rusty Rifle) for an arm and could develop into something if put into the right circumstance.

I also think he threw the best pass of any Titans QB all year. You can see that here: http://www.titansonline.com/media-c...s-Rookie/5e2f0668-3130-4ee1-8d07-5e6aa4b6e73e

He's a career backup. There's nothing wrong with that, but he isn't accurate enough to be a full-time starter.

Hmmm, didn't they say that about Farve? He played one and a half games in the NFL. I don't see how anyone can give a judgment about his abilities from that. But that never stops us, does it? :D

Just playing the odds.. He's not the solution. Sure, there are a few examples of late round picks being greats, but there's also a lot we've never even heard of.

He can get better, and we should keep him around, but he's not even close yet.

Maybe so, but at least Favre was a second round pick(33 overall). He at least had the ability to play at a high level in college.

    I don't think so....

He was a high 2nd rounder and was traded for a 1st rounder a year later. I think they said, "This guy has all the talent in the world, but needs to make better decisions on and off the field."

Maybe we'll get a long awaited visit from CostaRica now that his favorite hate-target has resurfaced here..
New Titans coaching regime could spell the end of the gunslinging leprechaun..

He's only thrown 40 passes in the NFL. Not enough for anyone to be able to tell how accurate he is. How much better would his completion % be if our WRs made the catches against Houston? At the moment his completion % is 50. If you add just 5 more completions to that it goes to 62%.

Any one know what Vince's stats were 2 games in to his career?

Hey, I saw the hornet's nest and couldn't resist...
