    1. 8 Tennessee Titans QB Blaine Gabbert Missouri
Gabbert is not a true franchise quarterback but has a strong mental makeup and good physical tools to develop into a quality pocket passer. With a deep receiving corp led by Kenny Britt the Titans could possibly use a variation of the spread offense to ease Gabbert's transition to the pro game much like St. Louis did last season.

    2. DT Marvin Austin North Carolina
    3. S Ahmad Black Florida
    4. C Jake Kirkpatrick TCU
    5. OT Marcus Gilbert Florida
5.(vy trade planning)-OLB Jonas Mouton Michigan
    6. WR Darvin Adams Auburn
    7. RB Jamie Harpe Clemson

i know im going to hear all kinds of crap about this but i view that if we run something like what the rams did i could see us taking gabbert

if we dont take gabbert i think this would be my draft
trade our first and 3rd for lions 1st 2nd and 4th

    1. DE Ryan Kerrigan Purdue
    2.DT Stephen Paea Oregon State
    2. QB Colin Kaepernick Nevada
    4. CB Kendric Burney North Carolina
    4. C Jake Kirkpatrick TCU
    5. OLB Jonas Mouton Michigan
    5. (for vy trade) G Zach Hurd Connecticut
    6. WR Armon Binns Cincinnati
    7. RB John Clay Wisconsin or RB Darren Evans Virginia Tech

2nd draft would be amazing for us giving that the lions do want to trade up to get prince or someone and that we get a 5th for vy would fill our holes for the most part with our

guard and center both players could compete for starting spots and you have 2 great coaches to mentor them

signal caller if we get moon or whoever i dont believe we will need a vet if we bring in moon as he can mentor our rookie too but it wouldnt hurt even if it meant resigning kerry for one year

spell back to cj in the later rounds darren evans is a decent sized back at 6 foot 220 lbs compared to cj

2 stud dline players will make an impact from day one i believe both of them could start for us

binns had a decent year are receiver and could play our slot reciever

cornerback im not sure could start but could compete and he could provide more depth to our core

mounton had decent stats over his career playing for michigan even if the team defense didnt show it and he could compete for an olb job

i know the only thing that i am missing is a safety and we may get one from the free agency and/or depending on what rolle or our other young safety improve that might be my only flaw that i think is in the second mock

we could substitute our corner pick for Will Hill from florida or Da'Norris Searcy from North Carolina

It is very unlikely that Paea will be there in rd 2 or that Black would be there in rd 3. All depends on the combine of course.

Interesting to me that in just the last 2 years we signed Haye and Witherspoon, drafted Marks in rd 2, drafted Morgan in rd 1 and then Curren in rd 3. That's 5 DL or LBs we have brought in here in the last 2 years either as a free agent or fairly high pick and despite all that committment we are supposed to keep drafting those types of players.

I do think Ryan Kerrigan makes more sense than any of the OLB everybody seems to like. He is a true 4-3 type DE.

I have been pushing and wanting this to happen since the first mocks started coming out and I did more research on the kid ... LOCK IT UP AT # 8

Amukamara has a big frame at 6'1 205 ... our current starting cbs finny n verner are both 5'10 and under 190 lbs ... I like the size and ball skills Prince has, the only real knock i've heard so far is he doesnt have blazing speed and hes built more like an Antonio Cromartie,, hopefully he tackles better than Cromartie ...

For the people saying CB isnt a big need ... umm I believe it is because I am tired of seeing our corners burnt and beat all day and not just that but not wrapping up easy tackles, and I relize Hope at safety is a major contributor to that as well but to shore up our secondary is key! Pac-Man was a disgrace of a pick in the top 10 back in 2005 or whatever it was, but Prince could ultimately erase all that and give us a corner of the future

I think the CB's tend to get burnt because of the zone and because the safeties are invariably slow to react.

I know most everyone is down on Finnegan, but he did a nice job against a couple of top tier receivers in the 2nd half of the season. I still think he is very good and can be great when surrounded by good players. He was lights out the first half of '08.

Pacman was a good pick that early. Considering we'd probably only have had Reynaldo Hill and Andre Woolfolk starting at CB the next year, if not for picking him. (Insert "all the talent in the world, but...." speech)

Like I said, I would be happy with him as a Titan. But our CB's aren't in that big of a need for an upgrade, that early in the draft.

If we were picking 10 or later and he some how fell that low, I'd be all for him.

I realize that just two spots, but I think at 8, we should still have a pretty good pool of talented players to pick from.

But, personally I don't think he will drop to us to begin with. I'm sure he will end up being a top 5 pick.

You're right, he's built like Cromartie, but plays nothing like him. Cromartie ran a 4.38, and his strength is on straight line routes, where he doesn't have to flip his hips. Prince has extremely fluid hips, can cover WRs across the middle, and is very strong in run support. I'm guessing Prince runs in the high 4.4s, causing him to drop to us.

Way too big of a reach. I would yell bad things at the TV if that happened.

For some reason, CBs don't get a lot of love in terms of what they're doing.... if they don't get the ball it's assumed that the QB didn't dial their number... they get good yardage on the play, it's assumed that the CB screwed up... it's harder to tell that the receiver didn't get thrown to because of good defense by the CBs
