Lawd, I hope the Titans don't draft a QB in the early rounds especially on the 8th pick. This season is not going to go well for the team anyway and so is most of next year so we stand to be in the early part of the first round over the next couple of years. This will allow us to bide our time until a true franchise QB is available. In the meantime, we should shore up our defense and deepen our OL.

This. Newton has the possibility to be the next Mike Vick. possibility

Also did anyone see we picked up the QB who played at the same college as Aaron Rodgers AFTER A-Rod AND set school records for touchdowns, completions, and total offensive yards?

That could have a lot to do with the tools he was given and also he's been a bit of a bust in the NFL so far but, whats going on there?

His name is Brett Ratliff. I'd post links but the forums won't let me yet.

I absolutely do not want Cam Newton in round 1. It is time this franchise had a pocket passer for a quarterback.

I agree. I want the franchise QB for us.

    I want a Peyton Manning.

Unfortunately there is not a QB in this draft that can come in and start from day one. Hopefully we are able to bring in a QB like Orton so we can allow whoever we draft time to develop.

no i think it is going to take a 2nd round pick to get orton and i would rather have kerry collins be our qb so we could use our pick for young talent and have kerry mentor our drafted qb for preseason and first few games and if we had to put them in if we have to

It looks like a QB is more and more likely at #8.

Munch said on Mike and Mike that the Titans will not be able to get a vet-QB in the FA, due to the lockout (duh). Basically said he wishes he could get a vet-QB in the FA.. now that he realizes he probably cant, does that mean QB at #8? I'm just hoping Gabbert and Newton go before us, I doubt we'll take Locker or Mallett at #8.

I'm hoping for KC to re-sign a 1 year deal and Mallett in round 2.

I was just about to post the same comment by Munch, but I hope you are wrong about Mallett. If we wait until round 2, I would rather have Locker or Ponder. We do not need another QB with character issues. After the comments though, it's looking more and more likely like Gabbert in round 1.

I do not want Locker. I would much rather have Ponder.

As for Mallett, everyone says he has "character issues" and "drug problems".. but has anything actually been proven?
