I don't like that mock at all tbh. I can understand taking Cameron Jordan in round 1, but Akeem Ayers in the middle of round 2 is not happening, and if he is there, we would not pass on him for Bruce Carter. Ponder is not sliding to round 4 either. It's got some picks I understand, but as you say, taking guy over Ponder makes zero sense. I would not be shocked with taking Ponder in round 2....he is moving into the 2nd round on most draft sites...

i know but i like the one with us taking julio in the first and paea in the second lol i think who we draft to be honest all decides on what we get with vince too

If we are able to trade VY, at best I think we can hope for a 5th round pick..Personally I don't like taking Julio in round 1 at all....We have far too many needs to take a WR in round 1. Dareus, Quinn, Amukamara, Miller, Jordan, would all be better picks at 8..and there is a good chance at least 2 of them will be there. I absolutely LOVE Paea...but if Ponder is the QB the Titans determine they want, then we take him in round 2. You don't wait on a QB.
It's going to be a fun 2 + months leading up to the draft....cannot wait.

and of course you know everyone is going to have a different opinion on who to draft and what round lol i think we can at least get a 4th out of vy maybe a 3rd but doubt anyone would give a 3rd for him so then we could possibly trade up for 2 2nds and get ponder and paea but i think we need an actual number 2 reciever also if we get a rookie qb instead of nate stone hands washington...

if we get one in fa then i would say go with von miller in the first and paea or ponder in the second it all depends on how many teams that need qbs take them before we pick in the 2nd to see if we take ponder in the 2nd or not

Paea possibly being there in round 2 is why I am completely in favor of trading back in round 1 for more picks, and taking Akeem Ayers. If Prince slides to us, there will be a few teams like the Lions that would want to move up. We trade back, gain an extra 3rd that we could use to move back into the 2nd to get Ponder. If we could come out of the 1st 3 rounds with Ayers, Paea, and Ponder I would be extremely happy....but not holding my breath..
On VY, we will not get a 3rd for him. He is owed an $8 million salary and a $4 million bonus on the 10th day of the league year. We will not keep him the 10 days and pay that bonus, so a team will either deal a late round pick for him, or wait 10 days until we cut him and they can sign him as a free agent to a more favorable contract.

i agree with the vince thing but if prince or von are there and we actually do choose to trade back im not sold on getting a d end either i would rather draft a dt if we go d line and move jones to end or going o line with someone like pouncey or someone that could help our o line

what do you think is the chance for us trading our first and vy to someone like the bills or cards and drafting a one of the 2 stud lineman or peterson?

I don't see that happening...again, teams know we have 10 days to deal VY or he'll be cut...they'd be better off staying at 3 or 5 and signing him as a FA to a more team friendly contract if they want him.
As far as Von, I agree...if he is there he's the pick. I love Prince, and would be more then happy if we took him, but I could also see a team like Detroit wanting to move up to get him...and us getting either their 13th overall and a 2nd or their 13th overall and a 3rd/5th. I'd move back to 13th for that. Especially if it is for a 2nd because that would allow us to take Ayers, Paea, Ponder...
I also agree with needing a DT more then a DE. I think Jones is better suited as a DE for us.

Here's my "perfect-draft" for this week... it'll probably change in a few days lol

    Round 1 - DaQuan Bowers
    Round 2 - Ryan Mallett
    Round 3 - Rodney Hudson
    Round 4 - Kelvin Sheppard
    Round 5 - John Clay
Round 6 - Ryan Winterswyk (DE)
Round 7 - Lee Smith (TE)

Then go after a FA SS.

    Or option 2:

Trade our 1st round and like 4th round to Lions for 1st, 2nd, and 5th. Then draft:
    1st round: DE
    2nd round: Mallett
    2nd round: SS (McDaniels)
    3rd round: Hudson
    5th round: John Clay
    5th round: LB

although I'm not a huge Mallett fan, he makes the most sense. He's big and has a strong arm and plays alot like Kerry. Would be perfect to learn a year behind KC, plus he'll fall to the 2nd where we could get him late. He has potential to be a Phillip Rivers type of player... or a JaMarcus Russell.

you think it would at all be possible to trade our first and 5th or 6th along with vy for the panthers number one or something liek that i would personally even be willing to give up our forth too if it meant getting someone like fairley

it would be silly to trade up for the #1 pick to get Fairley. He's not that amazing. If it was someone like Suh, Bradford, or Luck.. yeah it'd be worth it. Plus, they'd want more than a 1st, 5th, 6th, and VY. Fairley isn't even a lock at #1, I could see the Panthers going Peterson, a QB, Bowers, or AJ Green. I doubt he'll be available at #8, but DT isn't our biggest need - no need to waste multiple picks on one player.
