Who do we take at 8?

There will be great value in round 2 at DE. That is probably the deepest position in the draft and some players with a 1st round grade on them could fall to round 2. I think Watt would be there and we'd definitely have to consider it. I also like the DT out of Baylor, Phil Taylor. He could be there as well and could make us bigger up front like they mentioned they wanted to get.

 

If the Titans new direction is to get into shoot-outs (using Orton/Kolb/McNabb or a rookie qb) against Manning and Schaub every year than I guess using their first round pick on a WR is a good idea.

I'd rather get the defense stronger. There's aleady enough weapons on offense to win games.

 

My gut is that the Titans don't take Taylor because of how he repeatedly got in trouble/arrested at Penn State.

I hope we can sneak one of the two in the 2nd round. I'm not super high on either of them, but we can't pass on them in the 2nd.

one guy i would personally love for the titans to look at with the 8th pick, who I am not hearing much from in these forums or on any mock draft is, Prince Amukamara from Nebraska.

The Titans need big time corner, something the Houston/Tennessee franchise has lacked forever it seems. 3 corners come to mind when you start to think about the all-time cbs ; samari rolle, chris dishman and ummm ... andre dyson?

Not saying Prince is a sure thing (no one in drafts are) but Finnegan needs help opposite of him and the only corners name ive heard mentioned here is Patrick Peterson and umm he will be gone by pick 3 ...

Getting Morgan back is like an extra draft pick since he played sparingly last year due to the injury and as long as we sign Babin back I think we can wait at the DE spot until later rounds ... of course Babin wouldnt not have to fly to Philly to be with coach Washburn ...

But ya Prince Amukamara at 8 and line him up with Finny ... push Verner back for extra depth

 

You mean Verner right? Coz Finnigan played like he's the one to do the backing up nxt season

 

Babin is overrated. If he does re-sign, i'll be anxious to see how he does in a new scheme. Hopefully he prooves me wrong.

 

I'm still not sure how Babin made the pro-bowl. I guess it was due to the fast fluke of a start. The Steelers entire team was basically out when we played them, so he took advantage of that and piled 'em up in that game... and the Broncos blow, so that was another big game for him.
