It's a mock so it's as good as anyone's. I would question a few of the picks however...

I don't think Carolina takes Green number 1. Receiver is a huge need, but Fairley will be the pick.

No way Cincy takes Gabbert, I'm still don't think he'll go in the top 10. Plus, they are sticking with Palmer.

Detroit will not take another first round running back, just not happening.

You have far too many QB's going in the first, I really believe that two may go in the first, probably one though. So many people are drinking the QB Kool-Aid, I just don't get it. GM's are much smarter than that nowadays, they are just not going to reach for these QB's... too many holes with all of them.

Like Cecil Shorts as a sleeper, I was thinking we could nab him in the 5th ish round, maybe with a comp pick.

Palmer wants out of Cinci bad, I imagine that's why he has tem taking Gabbert.

Detroit I could see taking a running back just because Best looks like he's going to never stay healthy, and will probably be used as a change of pace guy in the future, although they have bigger holes.

I don't think he has too many QB's going in the first, a lot of teams need QB's and I think a lot of GM's feel that they are better off taking a risk on a QB in the first, because if it does pan out it's the cornerstone of the franchise.

I would be shocked to see a WR go #1.

Too many QB's, Lions don't go RB, yeah Ocho wanted out too but see what happened, and Panthers go Fairley.

I hear you, but remember that GM's are less inclined to reach for a player, especially this group of QB's, even if QB is a position of need. Lately, many teams have been drafting BPA in the first round, followed by need in subsequent rounds. I just don't believe there is any possibility that Detroit will spend, what, two first round picks on RB's in like four years? Kevin Smith should be healthy and Best will be as well. They should be drafting OT or defense.

I agree Detroit is just a player or two away from being a good team next season. No way they waste it on another running back, especially since many teams are getting it done with small name players.

The Lions have got to improve their O-line, LB group, and secondary.

    Possible draft picks:
    Patrick Peterson
    Prince Amukamara
    Von Miller
    Akeem Ayers
    Robert Quinn

Most of those guys will be gone, so I'd bank on them taking Ayers.

While I agree Ingram isn't the best pick there, I remember reading somewhere that Mayhew was looking for someone to complement Best. Mayhew also believes in the BPA strategy, and whenever I had questions about who should go where, I usually went BPA. Hence, A.J. Green to Carolina. Plus, I spent more time on the Big Board and Sleepers. I spent maybe 5 minutes on that mock.

I agree with Gabbert going too high to Cincy I can't see it with Marvin needing to win now.

Lions will take a RB but I doubt it will be round 1. RB's are a dime a dozen with a short shelf life and can be had in any round like Starks (6th round) and Blount (UDFA).

Honestly I wouldn't be mad if Fewell :brow: picked Gabbert as long as we have someone like McNabb to hold it down while he learns cause he is raw but he has everything you look for if he works at it. Otherwise I would like Flynn from GB and/or a mid round guy like Dalton my personal favorite.

But would certainly not be mad with Dareus. He would be nice beside JJ while TB rotates in and out with Sen.
