On which part? Jeff hit the nail on the head three times in that post.

There are opinions and then there is the obvious.. Those points fall under the obvious.

Mort is usually pretty good with his reporting. Vince is really gonna have a difficult time with a whole new system... it took him all this time just to look somewhat decent at times... what a mess

I believe you are wrong, he completed one pass to him. Not that that is the measure of anything since not including Moss in the passing offense was a decision made elsewhere.

Vince threw to Moss twice. Moss did not catch either.

Crud and other's keep claiming that Vince is no good because he's injured all the time and because he can't play traditional QB style.

    The Facts on injuries:
2006 - 13 starts - no missed games due to injury
2007 - 15 starts - one missed game due to injury
2008 - Injury in first game would have kept him out 2-4 weeks, Coach's decision to not start him again that season.
2009 - 10 starts - no missed games due to injury
2010 - 1 missed start due to injury, 1 game he was well enough to start but coach's decision kept him on the bench unitl second half. Tenth game of season sufferes thumb injury he believed he could play through, Coach ignored staff assertion he could still throw. Vince confronts the coach after the game and was benched and placed on IR. Was he really too injured to play any additional games this year. Its a matter of opinion.

So, if you take the view the torn thumb tendon makes him too injury prone to play in the NFL you might have a point, but otherwise your arguement is puffed up propaganda.

    Traditional QB style play:

Since that had never been his style it was always going to take 2-3 seasons to develop him into that kind of player. Season three was aborted after less than one full game so there's no way to judge if he would have been efficient in that style of play by the end of the season.

Year Four - 8-2 record, Passer rating above 80. The best of his career and certainly acceptable, especially with the W/L and TD/INT ratio.

Year Five - 4-4 record (4-2 in games he was allowed to complete.) Passer rating of 98.6, in the top 5 of all NFL QBs. Very efficient yards per attempt and yards per completion, very efficient TD/INT ratio. Near 60% completion percentage with few sacks. If he really couldn't read a defense those results would be impossible.

Fact is, while he would be a much better QB if the offense was designed to fit his gifts, he has learned to be a very efficient traditional NFL QB.

Pretending otherwise is based on refusing to acknowledge the facts, not on anything VY has failed to learn.

Coughlin tried to implement old style dicipline when he first arrived in NY and it blew up in his face. His team rebelled and he was almost fired. HE had to go though an attitude adjustment, learn to treat his players like men worthy of respect and not children who needed a hall pass. It was after he learned that lesson that they all came together and won a Super Bowl.
