I don't live in that world. I didn't like the fact he smiled and clapped at Andre but he apologized for it. I did however not mind him playing games with Andre's head. If you let someone get inside your head during a game and lash out with 3 closed fists then its on you. The point I am trying to make is that Finny did nothing wrong until the fight was already over and he started smiling and clapping. The whole "Watch This" talk is hearsay. No one knows if Finny did that but him and he already said it never happened. I believe him and not the Texan sideline on that matter.

I also remember a story a year or two ago about how the Texans O-Line were encouraged to cut block Albert Hanyesworth and Kyle Vanden Bosch... that seems pretty dirty to me.

    Yes.

Is instigating and throwing punches the same thing? I never said he didn't instigate it I just don't feel instigating a fight means you are classless. This is NOT the Albert situation we are talking about. This is a game where trash talking thrives. You are supposed to have thick skin in this game and not let it get to you.

    Great. Now your encouraging fighting.

The actions of instigating a fight aren't the classless ones. It's the actions that proceeded the fight. Smiling, taunting the sideline, and mocking the fans. Those are classless actions, and if it were the first time I would give Finnegan the benefit of the doubt, but its not. I still clearly remember several 15 yard unnecessary roughness penalties against him such as blatantly hitting LT out of bounds. Hes dirty, and dirty to me, shows little class.

Stop bringing up Haynesworth, because he has nothing to do with this. And btw, Haynesworth is considered a pretty nice guy off the field too.

You are treating what I said as if I applauded what he did after the fight was over. I already said I did not agree with what he did and he apologized for it. How do I encourage fighting? By saying its Andre's fault he let Finny get into his head?

I have some questions for you now.

If Andre had not snapped and let Finny inside of his head would we be talking about this?

What shows less class? Andre throwing punches at a player already off balance and on the ground or Finny clapping at Andre afterwards?

I'll answer these so you know what I think.

No, because Andre had control of the situation. He took it to the next level therefore I feel he was the wrongdoer.

I think anyone who throws punches on the football field needs to learn to control themselves. I don't think it shows less class, but I think it shows lack of judgment during a tense moment. Now what Finny did after the fact was not right and it showed lack of judgment on his part to. They both apologized and were fined so I don't see what makes Finny such a terrible person. If the NFL really felt he was a "Menace" they would have suspended him.

Wouldn't happen because Andre Johnson doesn't care about "getting under CB' skin" becuase he knows his skills do all of that for him.

Woah, Woah, Woah. You JUST said Finnegan instigated the fight. And did it with a complete cheap shot I might add. So don't go trying to tear down AJ when Finnegan was the one ASKING for a fight. You just agreed with me on that now your contradicting yourself.

Johnson apologized immideatly after the game, he admitted he let his emotions get the best of him, It happens. He wasn't asking for a fight, Finnegan was. And if you've ever heard of the expression "Sometimes you gotta step above it, and sometimes you gotta step in it" then you understand Finnegan deserved the beat down he got.

You didn't understand my first question.

Finny instigated but Andre didn't have to react. The fact that Andre exploded proves Finny got under his skin. How is it Finny's fault that the fight happened? He didn't walk up and push Andre out of no where. He jammed him at the line of scrimmage and Andre snapped. It wasn't called a penalty so I don't see why people act like Finny "Punched him in the mouth". Receivers get jammed all the time. Andre just didn't like getting jammed by someone who runs his mouth while he does it. Andre needs to learn how to control himself against someone who is trying to get under your skin.

He reminds me of Chris Dishman... You love to have him on your team, BUT if he played anywhere else.... You hate him!!!

Had to High Five you on that one. You want a guy on your team who plays after the whistle sometimes and gets under peoples skin. Being a rough and feisty player is different then being a horrible person. This league needs more of these type of players. Don't be afraid to get dirty if thats what it takes. Playing aggressively and going out there to start a fight on purpose are two different things.
