I know you guys don't want to hear about this guy right now, but i'm pretty sure alot of you guys are Vols fans and know alot about him.

My question is, was this guy that good in College? I watched him some in College, but to go undrafted and become the RB he is, did anyone see this coming?

Sucks that we have to deal with this guy for years to come.

He was decent in college. I don't remember him being as dominant as he is now though. He reminded me of a taller, less effective version of Jamal Lewis at UT.

As someone that watched but wasn't a fan... I always thought Foster was very underappreciated when at UT. Thought he'd be good in the NFL if he could stay healthy and not fumble.

But this season is a fluke. He's good- but he's not this good. He'll fade just as fast as Slaton did.

He was basically in a 3 back system on an average team. Definately made some mistakes but ran hard. Looked a little slow tbh, never really seen him play too many pro games. it is kinda peculiar how slaton tore it up one year and randomly disappeared

How exactly is CJ fading? He came back to earth & did anyone actually think he would hit 2k this year? he was on pace to hit 1500 again this year. I'm not sure what today did to that but I'm sure as long as rusty doesn't start any more games he'll get close to 1500 yards.

He would've got drafted if he left in 2007. Wanted to break Tennessee all time rushing record came back for 2008 season in which the whole team melted down and his draft stock plummeted. Also had a reputation for fumbling in big games (Bowl game against Penn State twice and against Florida in a close game)

He was a solid RB for UT, not Jamal Lewis/Travis Henry good..but solid nonetheless. He's allowed to have a good year..fluke or not.. CJ's last season seems to be a little flukey as well wouldn't you say DW..

I always thought he was pretty good. He was a beast in the Vols 6-3 loss to Bama when he was a freshman. That's just the one the sticks out to me. The Vols line has been pretty mediocre/bad for a while though.

LMAO at the Slaton comparisons....continue to pray that Arian Foster will just fall off and become a scrub.

Truth is Slaton wasn't a one year wonder either....he was a great young back and then had a devastating neck injury which has ruined his career. Yes Titan fan, Slaton just didn't become crappy....he suffered a serious neck injury and was never the same again.

Also Steve Slaton and Arian Foster's styles are absolutely nothing alike......they have nothing in common, so to assume Foster "will fade just as fast as Slaton did" is nothing more than a pipe dream. LOL, that was the funniest post in this thread. Seriously, y'all don't know about Slaton's injury?

Arian Foster is not a one year wonder and this isn't the "best of him". Honestly people in Houston feel like he hasn't been used enough. Slaton was this good LAST SEASON...which is why people in Houston KNOW he isn't a fluke.
