Its proven that the locker room is on Fish side, one guy on NFLN said there were players still upset at VY about his last episode.

Time to cut VY and Fish is a short leash too.

Tony Dungy just said that Fisher backs his players more then any other coach in the league and you know what he is right. Jeff Fisher backs HIS players VY has never been his player. Another obvious example of this is Nick Harper starting all those games last year when it was obvious he was not able to play without sucking. Is Jeff Fisher a terrible coach no is he a biased coach that sometimes puts his agenda before what is best for the team YES. A job of a coach in the NFL is to manage his players and do whatever it takes to win. Fisher has had a quick hook on Young for whatever reason and it has helped to destroy VY's confidence. A coach has to know how to manage his talent that is why he get's paid so much and Fisher has to figure out a way to control the emotions of VY because that is his job because like it or not VY is the best option at the moment (if he is not hurt). If he is hurt we have to sign a vet qb to start because Rusty right now can't even throw a 10 yard out.

VY has a fragile ego, and a bad, unteachable attitude (Evidenced by his Can't nobody tell me nothin' line). Fisher did not destroy VY's confidence, VY destroyed Fisher's confidence in him.

I'm really tired of messing with the question mark that Vince is EVERY year. Even if he is playing well, he gets hurt constantly. Which isn't his fault, but you don't keep someone around who can never stay on the field.

People having biases? Really? You just described every office in America. And pretty much every team in the NFL. And destroy VY's confidence? Really? Did Fisher have some secret agenda to force VY not to want to come back to work in an NFL game after getting rattled, before getting injured anyway and then running off that evening with a gun and no cell phone?

You need to read what you write again before hitting the send button. I don't mind critiques on Jeff Fisher that make sense (like playoff winning percentage). Weird conspiracy theories are just silly. Really.

I don't know why people keep bringing up the whole Nick Harper thing, I mean maybe Coach Fisher was trying to shield one of his potential starting CBs(Mouton) from getting destroyed and losing all confidence and thus ruining his career? Because ever since being forced into action, Mouton has gone from 3rd round steal to cut-bait. Fisher probably realized that Mouton was fragile and that the best thing to do for the TEAM LONG TERM was shelter his CB, hoping that Harper could keep it together the rest of the year.

The reality is that most of you are close to getting what you have wanted ever since Young was drafted...kinda sad.

Well, Rusty looks the way you want him to, let's hope he plays that way too.

I must say, this should be pretty entertaining whatever happens.

Do we find out tomorrow morning that Young has been cut?

If so, who do you think will be the team that picks him up?

As he is apparently the suckiest Titans player ever, another question might be will any team pick him up?

And the Gotitans forum's favorite question:

Will Vince Young finally off himself?

Only one thing is for certain, Fisher will be here for the next 10 years at least.

Weird conspiracy theory? It took the owner stepping in to get VY to start last year. Yes I know that argument gets used a lot but its a valid one. You really don't think Fisher has a quicker hook on VY then he did on Collins? Hood was an improvement or could have given McCourty more experience. Harper killed the team last year giving up huge play after huge play and Fisher never pulled him until he was hurt. And yes I think a qb's confidence is hurt and eventually destroyed when his coach has no faith in him (because of the quick hook). Yes VY is immature and psychologically fragile so shouldn't the coach try to reassure him that he has his back in when he starts to have doubts. A coach gets paid to get the best out of his players and that includes picking them up mentally when they are down. No matter what level of sport an athlete needs reassurance at some point in his career. VY was probably babied his whole life so he needs more reassurance then the other players but so what if you want to win you need VY in a good state of mind.

*Harper also got his job back even when he still had a broken arm. And played even worse with 1 arm.

I'm going with Fisher on this one. It is not Fisher's job to pander to Vince's quirks and massage his fragile ego on a daily basis. It is Vince's job to do his job to the best of his ability. If his emotions are getting the best of him, then he needs to go to counseling and get help for it. And just maybe it it IS his influence on the locker room that is contributing to their subpar playing. jmo
