Disappeared? LBJ was better statistically in last year's playoffs in every facet of the game. In fact, if LBJ had played like Kobe did against OKC, they would've lost to the Bulls in the first round. It's easy to forget that he played horribly because they still won. That's a luxury that the Lakers provide. Did you forget about game 7 of the finals? Kobe had a worse game there than LBJ has ever had in the playoffs. Easy to forget when you see him hoisting the championship trophy though, eh?

Eh, well, the Celtics are obviously a very solid team when they need to be. Losing to the Cavs the next day is just the type of team they've been for the last few years, though. It will cost them home court in the playoffs because they just don't bring it every night. Come playoff time, they should be there provided they don't have any injuries, though. On the other hand, the ceiling for the Heat would put them in a different category than the Celtics. If the Heat play like they did against Orlando, they'll be champions. Of course, they still have a lot of room for improvement, especially on offense.

    Kobe>LeBron all day any day!

And the Celtics can lose to the Cavs all year. You know when it comes time to win or go home, the Celtics wont lose.

    Lebron chokes over and over.

Anyone that watches basketball knows. No buttered stats and flipped bs stats can change that fact.

Celtics don't need home court they have enough experience to win on the road and they proved that last year. I don't see the Heat or the Lakers making it to the finals actually.

THey are a veteran team with guys that have been there/done that. They didnt have home court last year either, but still won the East. Now, I am not saying they will win the East necessarily, they do have some old legs that at some point are going to wear out. But, they also have the best pure throw back PG in the game who makes everyone around him better, and they do have experience, and they have a good bench. Miami has a great starting 5, especially when Miller gets healthy, but, not sure they have the experience, bench, or coaching to beat the Celtics in a 7 game set. Plus, if Orlando is able to pull off something for Chris Paul, which I think is at least somewhat possible, not sure how likely, but at least possible, then the Magic enter this conversation too.

The Heat are definately contenders, but the hype has way over shadowed the reality. The reality is they are a contender that has to beat a really good "team" in the Celtics, and then have to beat the best player since Jordan, and one of the best coaches ever in Jackson in the finals. Neither of those are givens by any means, and they aren't going to break the Bulls regular season win record. I can see the Heat winning some titles, but that might be a couple of years away when they learn to play with each other.

No one in the West is going to challenge the Lakers unless they have a rash of injuries.

Loved what I saw from Wall. Future looks very bright in DC! And Rondo, he could be the best point guard in the NBA, at least top 3. Those UK point guards are tearing it up.
