Just watching NBC's pregame thing..this guy said a league official stated there were "zero helmet to helmet penalties"..

I wonder if they saw our game? CJ got hit helmet to helmet, no flag. Hilarious. Pathetic. Let's see if that Eagle gets a fine or suspension..I really doubt it.

Helmet-to-helmet is only a penalty when the player is defenseless. A runningback isn't defenseless when he's carrying the ball.

I thought any helmet to helmet is a penalty now? ...CJ could have still been concussed regardless. Plus the dude LAUNCHED head first..was none of this what we heard ALL WEEK about what they were looking for now? ....

The NFL knows it overeacted. Same thing Goodell has done for his entire term. When you get reactive like this, you will make mistakes, and you will need to backtrack. The NFL made a mistake. I don't expect them to stick to the policy at all.

The rule isn't just defenseless players I'm pretty sure, its all players leading with their helmet doing helmet to helmet. If they follow their lame new rule then the Eagles dude should get a nice fine.

    I agree to an extent.

The NFL is full of inconsistency..can you imagine the backlash if they suspend a player for one hit and the following week a player does something similar and gets a slap on the wrist? Now your threatening to really hurt the entire team these guys play for..so you BETTER make sure your making the right call

I was shocked no flag was thrown there and that even after looking at the film the NFL doesn't feel there should have been either. Johnson was falling over and getting tackled, Sims came in for no reason and went helmet to helmet. It was a dirty play and there should be a fine. I guess because nobody got hurt it's not a big deal but what if he did and there was no flag? Pathetic.

They just said on ESPN there will be no fine on that play.

Mort basically said the same exact thing I did. Runningbacks aren't defenseless because they can protect themselves.

I think thats basically what it comes down too. Had CJ stayed down..then it would be news..since he got up then its nothing. Same thing would have happened had Desean Jackson got up...imo.

I just dont want the league to start picking and choosing now. CJ was already being tackled and the guy came in just to add his 2cents and lead with his helmet. If you gonna make a big freaking deal about these hits then either call it across the board or shut up about it !!
