Where was the whistle?? He clearly wasn't getting out of that one! I don't think of it as roughing the passer because the Steelers players were just finishing the play, but there should have been a whistle before that piledriver took place. Dreadful.

I do agree with your sentiment though, had that been one of the golden girls, they would have been about 80% more likely to throw the flag anyway...

Actually when I was watching it on TV I heard the whistle and then they flipped him. Can't hear the whistle on this over the douche bag Steeler announcers.

Yeah, that was one of many shocking 'non-calls'.

    Among others!
I thought you were not allowed to pile drive any player? Much less twoon one, and when the one is a QB?

I'm glad it wasn't called because these roughing the passer calls are getting out of control, like today the Ravens got totally screwed on one of the calls. That being said who even know what it is anymore. I see players get hit a lot less (even with the ball) and there's no call and I see people get hit even harder than that and they get the call. The rule is way too loosely defined. I was more upset by that Sylvester guy getting away with a big late hit on the special teams play but then they got someone for hitting Ward with the ball as the play was still kinda going on. If your going to foul Ward then cheap shot him, like he does everyone.

They could have easily broken Vince's neck, I was furious there was NOTHING. If there is no fine for that hit, this league is a complete joke and the bias it shows is pathetic.

Ahh, my bad. In that case... that's much, much, much worse. :sad2:
Though there wasn't a call, I do think there could be a legitimate chance of a fine here.

the OP had it right; if that was Manning or Brady there would've been ejections. But it's just some other QB so no big deal.

Seriously, can you imagine that happening to Manning? That was some BS.
