Fisher # 3 in Best Coaches list

This doesnt address the sentiment of the season.

 

What? That last post doesn't make sense to me...

 

I think we're missing the point that it's been 16 years under Fisher and we have nothing to show for it.

 

I don't think that my time spent watching the titans is worthless every year that we don't win the super bowl. I would love to watch the Titans win a super bowl, that's the ultimate goal. Period. That being said, not all 31 other teams are equal every season. We aren't the browns, chiefs, raiders, or rams of the last three seasons, and I for one am VERY thankful for that.

 

I hate attitudes like this. Like if you don't win a title there is no reason to watch. Really pathetic that someone can't enjoy watching their favorite team unless they are in the super bowl.

My decade plus as a titan fan represents some of the best times i have had following sports. Many great seasons and many great games and we won more than we lost.

It's frustrating to go 13-3 or 12-4 and not win a championship but they were not a waste of my time i enjoyed those seasons. I think this year will be like that.

Such a bunch of whiners if you ask me.

 

im glad we havent had records like those teams as well... but to say that fisher is #3 with a lil over .500 record is rediculious. fisher is exactly what his record is, average! any fool that argues that fact would also dispute that the sun is hot or that the earth is round.

could we do worse, certainly... could we do better, you bet! the fact that people have come to except mediocrity as perfectly fine is rather lame, let alone stand and defend it!

 

your opinion of nothing and someone else can differ, as they obviously do.
ive never heard someone say they didnt enjoy the season or didnt have fun at games because they didnt win a superbowl at the end of the year... just because you expect more from your team over 16 years than just an average record and some great wins doesnt make you a whiner... thats just a pathetic statement... you can be happy with average but dont drag the rest of the group down to your lower standards.
i know i dont want my kids to be under-acheivers... if a C average is all they can do and try there hardest i'll be cool with it, but at the same time ima do all i can to help and make things better. furthermore if they can do better ima make sure that they do.... make sense?

As I've said, I don't think that Fisher is 3rd either, though I do say he's still top ten. Are there ten coaches with a better winning percentage than Fisher?

Show us some stats that say that he's average or below, please.

 

He didn't say it was a waste of time nor did he say he wasn't enjoying watching. His problem, as is mine, is with Fisher and his inability to put his teams on the very top for 15 years. Other organizations don't give the same leeway to their HCs and their goal is the same as the Titans so why shouldn't we be a little frustrated?

 

Where do you get that watching the game is worthless from this statement:

It's been worth watching the Titans, and I've had fun... BUT we have nothing to show for it! Just heartbreaks.

16 chances is more than most coaches will ever get.
