Housh has never been a proven #1. But even if he was and we should try, it starts with the QB. I don't think VY will ever be the QB that will throw 3500+ yards.

The cold hard truth of it all. Well said, Gunny.

And typically Alex has no idea.

You'd play with 5 healthy linebackers (Curran, Tulloch, Allred, Witherspoon, Winborn) and for-go special teams so you can have your third running back on the roster.

    Seriously?

I bet you were on your soapbox crying about Special Teams when Mouton fumbled twice but now you are crying over the third string running back. Lol.

    Stop wasting my time.

No he's not a #1 but he's a very good if not great possession receiver who can catch 80-100 balls a year at 10 yards a pop. The perfect type of player for a QB who doesn't throw it all over the field like Young. He's a receiver who keeps the chains moving, long drives, that's what we like to do.

Actually you should participate in the GoTitans forum and read the thread regarding the cut of Blount, I have not posted in it or given an opinion.

But here is my opinion, I'd rather sign TJ Housh than some scrub hanger-on LB for special teams only.

I disagree he is the type we need (though rumoured attitude aside he is good at it) simply because I think we have those (perhaps not as good as he is but possession nonetheless).

IMO Housh is a complementary WR, not a #1

You posted your opinion on it in this thread by disagreeing with my opinion on it.

Gee there's a shock. No insight, no reason for it. Just I'll sign this guy and be-damned what the consequences might be.

Yep. Not gonna write a Gut or Karmarouge novel to explain it.

TJ Housh seems likely to offer more contribution than the scrub LBs we signed. Heck, Bobby Carpenter I'd prefer over the one's we signed. But even if Housh experiment failed miserably, so what? It's an uncapped year, and I wouldn't want to see him signed longterm. If he causes problems just release him. Potentially he could still be better than Gage.

I guess. All I really did was prove what type of poster you are, defend whatever move the Titans make. But I guess if you want to conjecture an opinion for me from doing so, ok.

Gee and I could prove what type of poster you are, disagree with any move the Titans make. How does that make you better then me?

I don't agree, I don't think we have a good or even decent possession receiver on the team. Britt will hopefully develop into a #1, we'll see, Washington is supposed to be a deep threat, Gage to me is just a guy, you'll see people put up numbers similar to him all over this league, don't really see any top notch or even decent possession receivers on our roster.
