Not impossible. He has been more involved in the passing game from year one to year two. They're just going to find more ways to get him the ball other then running.

    Impossible.

He had 503 receiving yards last season even with the gimme 70 yarder against the Texans. You really think he'll be able to double last year's receiving performance?

At first I would have argued C.J. can and will eclipse 1000-yards receiving some day, but thinking it over he wont. He could, and very easily, but the way we call plays it wont happen.

Yea it's very possible...why couldn't it? Because he got only 500 last year? He had 1200 yards rushing as a rookie then had 2K last year, who would of thought he would get that? To say it's impossible is stupid

251 carries for 1228 yards in 2008 and 358 carries for 2006 yards in 2009.

Everyone expected somewhere near a 1500 yard season for CJ last season. You're right... no one expected him to break 2k. But, we're talking about receiving yards here. CJ is a running back. His primary job is run the ball, not catch it. We haven't had a 1000 yard reveiver since Drew Bennett in 2004. We don't pass the ball much, so it's simply not going to happen.

I believe Marshall Faulk is the only back to record a 1000 yard receiving season. He was part of a pass happy team and was known for getting 60 catches a season. In his 1000 yard season, he caught 87 passes! CJ has caught 93 passes in two seasons and hasn't even racked up 1000 yards.

He WILL NOT get 1000 yards receiving this season. Not a chance.

who said he won't be more involved in the passing game? One of his strengths is that he helps in the passing game. He can take screens or dump offs a long way. I doudbt we saw all of what our offense was capable of last year. I say its not likely he will get 1000 but he is VERY capable of doing it. It is NOT impossible

If anyone is going to do it, C.J. will. He allows us to do unheard of things offensively. We should see an exciting group winning us games this year.

cue DBC to show up and tell everyone how much VY sucks and will never throw 1,000 yards to any receiver, much less CJ.

actually VY is so bad that he'll probably only be able to complete 5 yard dumps to CJ... CJ seriously could have a 1000 yard receiving season, but its unlikely.
