Man, the Celtics really blew this one. If Rivers wasn't a crappy coach and Perkins wasn't hurt, the title would be theirs.

The '07 Celtics were the worst team in the NBA. Then, the next year they win it all.

Rivers' record before the KG and Ray Allen additions: 273-312
Rivers' record after the KG and Ray Allen additions: 178-68

His record with the Celtics prior to the additions was a whopping 102-144. Unfortunately his job is safe for a while.

Well, Ron Artest is speaking. Time to turn off the TV.

Awful? That was an awesome game, exciting till the final horn. Congrats to LA, loved seeing them win but loved seeing Boston lose even more. And best of all, the refs let them play and it ended up being a great game.

    WHOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Refs did their best to keep it interesting, and the Lakers played like SHIIIIAAAAT- but somehow win thanks to Ronnie!

Top of the world right now! Hate the dirty Celtics!

Kobe's got 5! ONE MORE! Just one more!

I agree with it being awesome, but I disagree with the rest. :)

I thought the refs did pretty well with the exception of the traveling no-call with Gasol. This game would likely be in OT if they had gotten that call right.

    IF?

If Bynum weren't hurt this would have probably been a sweep.

Perkins sucks, and Baby Davis + Sheed are better together anyway.

And Doc Rivers is a hell of a coach to get that effort out of that team.

It was a REALLY tough call to make. Refs did fine, I mean no game will ever be perfectly called but it was very well called tonight. Refs didn't have to do ANYTHING to make it more interesting nor did they help the Lakers back into it. Not having Kendrick is what killed the Celtics the most. That and Allen unable to make shots again.

I'd rather see a well played defensive game than some 120-122 score fest. I don't see how anyone could call that game awful.

lol - you would have hated the 70s and early 80s.

When I liked to watch the NBA players could shoot and they did, frequently.

Don't think the Spurs ever won a title, but they were gonna run you off the court and fire the ball up.

look at that shooting % and that was not pumped up by a ton of dunks either.
