Just Found This. from Jan 2010

As every month, Microsoft has released a fact-filled statement.

According to the company, Xbox 360 gamers spent $158 million on Xbox 360 games in the month of January 2010, $150.5 million of which was spent on third party game titles -- which the company claims is the highest spend out of the three current consoles. The company claims a current tie ratio of 8.8 games for every console sold.

Microsoft also released new stats about its Xbox Live service, claiming 23 million registered users online right now.

The company also claims to have set a record for the service at 2.3 million Xbox Live users online at one time during January 2010, and notes that Nielsen, the ratings company, finds the Xbox 360 is the "most-used console on the market" according to its research.

    Life to Date sales

360 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - 6.16 million sold.

PS3 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - 3.25 million sold.

Sony recently said there are over 20 million PSN accounts.

Again, downloading old demos is a testament to lack of games, not popularity of XBL.

Final Fantasy XIII, Resident Evil V, Street Fight IV

For all you name, I can name some that sell better on PS3.

    Myth.

You do realise that because Microsoft have so few exclusive games, gamers have to buy 3rd party titles right?

Xbox usually gets the "extra" downloadable content for these types of games too.

I don't ever really use it, but I've heard people complaining about not getting them due to owning a different system.

PS3 has PS3Home though!!!! haha... ok, sorry.

Microsoft has so few exclusives, huh?

    218.

    PS3 has...

    60. (Meaning, the 360 had more exclusives in it's first year than the PS3 does to date)

    Hey, nice try though!

Both only have 9 exclusives that rank above 90 on ratings though. So it's not as if the exclusives battle is one worth fighting anymore.

Exclusives worth playing. How many of those are you going to suggest to friends?

FYI PS3 has heaps of Japan only exclusives that aren't listed.

Once again: They both only have 9 exclusives ranked over 90.

You pulled one out of your hat, and got caught. Welcome to my world, buddy. :)

And I bet if you do over 80, it will be a lot different. I consider 80+ to be good games and 90+ are exceptional.

But I am now curious and shall try something tonight. I will pop in Resistance: FoM and see if the online community is still there.

    Was it EVER there? lol

    As for games in the 80s: 360 has 36... PS3 has 18.

    Now how many are recent?

edit: Resistance had a pretty strong online community, it was a game released with the PS3 though.

edit2: even looking at the 90 ratings. Mass Effect 2 is the most recent (Jan, 2010) and then Forza 3 (Oct, 2009) and then Gears of War 2 (November 2007).

    That is a huge gap.

And in between that the PS3 has released: Uncharted 2, God of War collection and God of War 3, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, MLB 09 and 10, and Demon's Souls.

This is where the thought that the 360 has not had anything good recently comes from.
