Apparently, from what I've heard, the Iron Man sequel is a big letdown. I've been looking forward to it, and I'll definitely be seeing it next weekend, but I guess I won't be getting my hopes up too high.

The commercial looks disjointed. I suspect there will be billions who defend an Iron Man II failure just because it's Iron Man. Too bad, as Marvel unveils all the different Avengers leading up to the culmination of that tale they need to keep it as solid as possible. I'm hoping Thor is quality as my company has given them a butt-load of set prop materials for scenes set in a pet store. Fingers crossed...

Funny, I've heard praise of the film saying it's better than TDK. I've heard Downey Jr. is better than Bale, Sam Rockwell is his usual scene stealer, and Rourke is fantastic as well. Great actions scenes, especially in the finale.

Just because a trailer is disjointed, doesn't mean the film is.

We shall see. TDK is a great movie, but it's still overrated if you ask me.

I doubt Iron Man 2 could be better than TDK though... I do believe Downey Jr. is better than Bale in every way. He's more talented and more charasmatic.

From the little I've read on reviews, Rourke isn't in it enough. Otherwise it is a good movie.

I was meant to see it on the weekend.

That's a good thing no doubt.. Though I've read comments where folks giving "greatest movie ever" type feedback just from watching this trailer, which shows no indication of anything beyond the typical Marvel smash up...

I dunno. It was just all around bad. From the chars like Peter's rich friend practically switching personality to them trying to lach on to some patriotic theme. I mean seriously, the guy loses some of his memory and then turns into a great friend and generally sweet guy? Where was this guy when he was stealing the girl that he knew Parker really liked in the first one? Total 180 in his character just so they could fit it into the script. And I laughed my off at the end when Parker was swinging through the air to save the day and they've got the flag overlayed. Wow that was way over the top... His colors are red and blue. Is that not enough of a patriotic symbol? There's subtle symbolism and then there's shoving your face in it. I'm all for patriotic themes and symbolism but not when it distracts from the story/scene. and i'm not even going into his whole gay moment walking down the street all in black.

I'm looking forward to Batman though.

And Joss Whedon (Firefly/Serenity, Buffy and various comics including X-men commics) is signed on to do the Avengers (Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Capt America combo) which could be very interesting. Very underrated writer/director. Its yet to be seen how he'll do on a big budget film though.
