    Bad Games? Let's see.....QB Ratings

    Last 2 games he's played in : @Sea 63.2 SD: 11.9

2008: Only game he started, Jax: 45.6

    2007: @Jax 47.9 ATL: 34.5 Oak: 50.3 Car: 36.5 Jac: 64.8 SD: 38.1 NYJ : 60.0

I wont even count his rookie year. He had 7 terrible games that year.

But since 2007, he's had 10 really bad games out of 26 games started. Thats not very good.

    Actually it was 12. :)

Still impressive. Too bad Kerry has lost it though.

If you honestly think VY can throw the ball better than Kerry Collins, you crack me up.

He did it last year. Fo sho. I'll take Vince over Kerry all day. Really, I'll take Vince over Jason Campbell too. He has much more upside, and has shown recent improvement. Vince is 75% of the QB he needs to be. If he gets to 100%, he'll dominate games.

Vince is about to turn 27 and he is entering his 5th season. I doubt if he is still developing and i'll take the 83 passing rating he had last year. He applied himself and matured and played solid overall. That might be as good as he can get.

He has 39 starts under his belt and he got to watch from the sidelines all of 2008. Maybe there isn't much upside. I just want him to perform at the same level he did last year and not fall back to some of his previous bad habits and mistakes.

It wasn't until Peyton hit his 6th & 7th years that he really started limiting his INTs and his passer rating improved quite a bit. So I wouldn't say that Vince has stopped developing just because it's his 5th season. Plus the rotating OCs really hurt his growth early on. In some ways this is really just his 3rd season now.

But I agree with the premise that if he doesn't get any better, and just plays like he did last year then the team can succeed. He played within himself, added some nice touch to his throws, and generally made good decisions. That's about all you need from a QB sometimes.

    BULLCRAP!!!

That's 1.4 more than the definition of pure NFL mediocrity.

That's the point, isn't it? The fans of these teams demand more. When it doesn't happen, they make changes. If Ryan doesn't continue to keep the Jets a contender, he'll be the next DC in Oakland in a couple of years.

I'm not saying we want to be like Philly but pointing out some markets demand more from their teams than others. We see it in most every professional sports team in these major market. If a coach doesn't win in a reasonable amount of time, he's gone.

I take back my comment on Detroit as they did replace their coach... finally. Even KC made a change.

He didn't get 16 seasons to do it either.

Let me ask you this. If Fisher repeats basically what he's done the last 16 years for the next 16, do you keep him?

Simple question. Probably should be a poll.

its funny that you talk about two years ago when i was talking about last year, remember the nfl is a "what have you done for me lately league" If kerri collins would have one or two games we coulda made the playoffs. And im pretty convinced if you were coaching the titans your woulda left kerri collins in. Loser go troll somewhere else cuz you dont know what the hell talking about

Many people are very afraid of change, so they make mediocrity a positive. As for me, I say give both Fisher and Vince no more than two more years and if there is no improvement, they're gone. When a coach says he has the best team he's ever had and they then wind up 8-8 and no one really knows how that happened, then something's wrong and change is needed.
