You guys are hilarious. Fisher was a football player that decided to coach. He wasn't some super genius studying in a basement somewhere that earned his way to being a coach through proving how football savvy he is.

Yes, he has more football knowledge than us-- BUT anyone with a coaching staff and common sense could OUTCOACH Fisher. Does that mean they're better? Or if the team will win? Nope...

But to say you can't outcoach someone that has an ancient non-working football philosophy makes me think that you guys would also just assume you couldn't beat George Bush in a spelling contest simply because he was a president.

Don't overrate him. He just got lucky to become a coach- and he's not a good one.

Do all of you just assume that you couldn't manage a McDonalds better than whoever is doing it in your town? Just because they're professional at something doesn't mean that they can't be replaced by any Joe off the street. Now will they be? No. But hell- Morons with concussion history and John Gruden were actually football coaches.

Don't be so hard on yourselves. You're smarter than a 3rd grader! ...Maybe.

who wouldn't want a shot, if it works you make millions, if it doesn't you lose nothing as Fisher is the longest tenured coach in the league, if you even made it interesting you could get another shot elsewhere

    The Gloat coaching plan:
    - delegate everything,
    - set autodraft to select all Michigan and Georgia Tech players
    - reference YouTube for game-planning
    - limit role to gameday playcalling

    Fired by Game 3....

The Astros basically tried this when they hired Larry Dierker right out of the broadcast booth. He won several division titles, but no world series. He did have major league experience as a player, so there was less of a learning curve, but the premise was near that of hiring off the street with no managerial experience. The move was ridiculed, but it worked out pretty good.

So your current job title limits your physical and intellectual ability? Would you have said that about 13 years ago, when some nobody named Kurt Warner was stocking shelves in a HyVee Grocery Store in Cedar Falls, Iowa?

Or what about Brad Stevens, who was an investment banker before becoming a head coach of a college basketball team and coming one shot away from winning the championship with a buncha nobodies on his team.

How about the coach of the Chiefs, Todd Haley, whos never lined up on an NFL or College football field. He went to college on a Golf Scholarship.

To say it can't be done or to limit someone by what they do to put the bread on the table is absurd and childish.

Comments like this are what lead me to think you wouldn't be such a great mod.

Yes I wish Warner had decided stocking shelves was his career calling, I really really do.

Your current job title shows where you are in life.

    And your examples are:

    1. A guy who isn't a coach, but was given a shot in the NFL, then bags groceries and then given another shot.

    2. An investment banker...doesn't that tell you something about how smart he is?

    3. Another smart guy and went to college because of golf.

This compared to a guy in a warehouse is apples and oranges.
