It's completely acceptable to compare the speed of Freeney and Graham.

You're saying Graham is a Freeney clone, so he better have the speed of Freeney, since that is Freeney's main asset.

Freeney hasn't been that fast since like 2008. He doesn't have the blazing speed anymore. Great acceleration, but his top speed has slowed down. He's still very quick though. I think Graham is more of Freeney and Woodley mix.

Also, McShay was just talking about the draft. He had the Titans taking Derrick Morgan. He also said, "Don't be surprised if they select Brandon Graham, JPP, or Kyle Wilson at 16."

Sure it is. It's fine to compare their speed... in a shorter distance than 40 yards.

It'd be great if we had Freeney's 20 yard shuttle drill or cone drill times.

And I don't think they're the exact same type of player- just remind me of one another.

For instance- Graham busts through the middle like a wrecking ball constantly while Freeney is strictly an outside pass rusher.

If we get Graham, I'd probably dance a jig, because he's exactly the kind of guy the Titans won't target based on history. The guy is a football player period, you can tell he loves to compete and has a non-stop motor... those are things you can't teach. By watching video he uses his hands very very well to shed blocks and he's just a natural pass rusher. I'm tired of this BS scouts are putting out there about how he'll struggle in the NFL due to his short arms. Like all NFL tackles' arms mysteriously get longer once they are drafted. I'm sure 99% of the tackles he's faced in College had longer arms than him, big deal I say.

The main problem is the Titans draft using the wrong "P" word... "potential" instead of the proper "P" word... "production". Ever wonder why the good teams are good, why they have good players... because they draft on production not potential or measurables? Look at all the good teams Steelers, Ravens, Dolts, Pats, all of em, they all draft "football players". We draft athletes which we hope will one day blossom into "football players", anyone else see the problem with this?

Personally I'd like to see us draft Kyle Wilson or Brandon Graham in the 1st or, on the off chance he's on the board, Dez Bryant. Those are the three I want, everyone else be dammed, LOL.

If we draft one of these DE's who don't possess the pride to want to be better than the guy in front of them such as Dunlap I'm gonna quit this team :). I'm praying that JPP and Dunlap are off the board by the time we pick, if not I fear were gonna blow it big time.

well when i went to the same school as him and he was the overall number one college player in the USA there comes some hype with that. Maybe you dont get that. Also ESPN has done outside the line articles with him so theres so more hype...and a guy that has one interception in his entire college career doesnt normally get any NFL draft nod unles....hes been hyped up. Maybe you just dont watch enough college football or pay attention.

I've taken a long, long vacation from the forums. I didn't fall off the face of the planet because we were sucking. The events that took place from Sept 26 (my 20th bday) until October 20th will haunt me for the rest of my life. Not sure anyone could have been through more hell in such a short period of time. I'm lucky to be alive. I have God and my mom (who is an absolute saint) to thank for that. If anyone wants to hear the story you can pm me and I'd be glad to discuss it. I really enjoy talking about it. I mean, it's all I think about now. Can't believe I'm still on earth to explain it. They say there's a purpose in everything, and I think after this experience I've decided that I am going to be a laid back, kind person for the rest of my life. No more bashing. None of that bs. I'm changed for the better.

Anyways... as far as the draft goes... It's simple. Draft the best DE/CB available. I'm not too familiar with college football. I just start to get interested and do my research as the draft approaches.

The top 4 DE's are Jason Pierre-Paul, Sergio Kindle, Derrick Morgan, and Brandon Graham. The top 4 CB's are Joe Haden, Kyle Wilson, Patrick Robinson, and then there's a few others who would tie for the fourth spot (Devin McCourty, Kareem Jackson, Myron Lewis).

Either way you look at it, we're going to get a solid player. I'll be crossing my fingers for a DE in the first round and a CB in the 3rd. After that, I have no clue. We need to stregthen up our lines as much as possible as well as our secondary. I'll be doing some research over the next few days.

Hopefully I'll start becoming active like I used to be... BTW my rant thread I made about everyone whining about our 0-2 start turned out to be quite a fail. I thought I'd try to get everyone to relax and not worry. Didn't turn out so well. My body was loaded up with tons of different meds at this time. I definitely wasn't at my best from August through October. We had a hell of a second half of the season. Just too bad we didn't get off to a good start... We should have won at least 2 of the first 3 games. The next 3 were pathetic. And once we hit 0-6, I was actually hoping we'd just tank the season and get an awesome draft pick. It was awesome to watch VY get out there and succeed.

I think I'm getting back to being my normal self for the first time in a long time.

It's good to be back. Miss this place.

Im hoping for Brandon Graham with the #16 pick. Originally I had wanted Earl Thomas or a CB, but I have changed my thinking. Also, as another poster mentioned, Id rather see us take Mardy Gilyard or Shipley then Jacoby Ford, especially Gilyard. Gilyard would be perfect for the slot, and give us a very very good returner. If for some reason we dont take a DE round 1, a DE I like later is Lyndsey Witten from Uconn.
