So let me get this straight... You are saying he could be good, bad, or somewhere in between. Intriguing...

Well smarty-pants, I'm just saying that's the case for all draft picks. They're all a crap shoot. Some are less likely to flop and some don't live up to expectations. I am hopeful that we make the right choice. JPP has a ton of potential but he also has a big chance to flop.

He is a 1st round pick for sure. if we pass on him, im sure he will get picked up shortly after.

    he is a hidden gem.

I'd be willing to give up a little atheletic ability to gain someone with more experience. I heard somewhere that he only had 7 starts in D1. Seems too much of a risk to take at 16. If we trade down and he's still there late 1 I wouldn't mind it, but give me a solid football player like Morgan or ideally Graham any day.

7 starts but considered a mid 1st round pick says a lot. he is a beast.

Ha ha ha! No offense, but this is a very poor argument. I know, there are a lot of questions about this kid. The amount of games played is suspicious. But this argument is null and void.

Ever hear of Jared Allen? Idaho State of the Big Sky conference. I could spend hours pointing out other examples, such as our own Cortland Finnegan, of Samford. My point is, don't take away from your argument by throwing something silly like this in there.

i hope he is a top 16 pick.

and he is a hidden gem cause many teams will pass on him just cause of how many games he has started and he is not a popular name. someone with that much up side falling to 15-17 is a gem imo. just like CJ falling way down the board. i think Cj would have been a 2nd round pick if not for us.

I ask why this guy is so highly rated. Everson Griffen is about the same size (6'4, 273 vs 6'5, 270) but faster (4.65 vs 4.71 with faster 10 and 20 yard splits, Griffen ran 4.6 at his pro day), stronger (32 reps vs 19, Griffen had 34 reps at his pro day). Griffen's shuttle is 4.36 vs 4.67 for Paul. If you want to look at a "raw" player who's stock is rising Griffen is the guy I'd look at. Griffen even had a better vertical at 34 inches to Paul's 30.

But wait.....can Griffen do back flips?
