So your whole premise that SEC teams schedule week out of conference opponents just got shut down since an SEC team has a harder out of conference schedule than Ohio State.

That and 5 SEC teams were rated with the top 15 hardest out of conference schedule.

The SEC plays the hardest schedules and has the most BCS champions. Solid proof the SEC is not overrated, but correctly rated as the best conference in the land.

Other than Georgia the SEC teams don't schedule tough OOC teams the numbers show that. If other schools success or out of conference games make you feel better as a Tennessee fan aka one of the more irrelevant teams in the SEC, then don't let me stop you. Continue to be an SEC water boy and root on the good teams while yours struggles in and out of the conference.

5 of the top 15 out of conference schedules are from the SEC. What the hell are you talking about the numbers dont show that? I seriously question your ability to interpret information.

Out of conference = 1/3rd season

    In conference = 2/3rd season

Care to make any kind of lame argument that Ohio State plays a harder conference schedule? lol

I am not a Tennessee fan but to say they are one of the more irrelevant SEC teams is crazy. They are certainly in a down period, but they certainly arent irrelevant. Would you say Michigan is irrelevant in the Big 10 simply because they have had a few down years?

It's not the top 15 out of conference schedules. I seriously question your ability to read.

Yea I would say Michigan is irrelevant, at least they have been during the Rich Rod era.

So 2 years makes a team irrelevant? I dont agree with that at all. Michigan is still the most recognizable program in the Big 10 along OSU and Penn State. They certainly are not irrelevant, just as UT isnt irrelevant either. Having a down year, does not make one of the more historical programs in the history of CFB irrelevant.

You are correct. I skimmed that worthless article and missed the "Note: this is only preseason top 15 teams"

Meanwhile, did you notice Ohio State isn't even ranked in the top25 recruiting class. Tennessee is top10 with Dooley at helm.

Well if your not winning how are you relevant? If you have a decorated history sure you'll be talked about regardless (Notre Dame) but I'll say this, if your going to make a case for Tennessee being relevant than it's for the wrong reasons.

Way to backpedal out of that. I could honestly care less about the recruiting class rankings. Were not in the top 25 on rivals, scouts has OSU at #14, who's right? We wont even know for 2 years and by then there's 2 more recruiting classes that have come in. Besides, last year Rivals had OSU's class as the #3 in the country so I'm not concerned.

Then what reasons would those be then? I cant wait to be enlightened.

Well the only reason they've made the news as of late is because their coach left but during the season what sort of news did they make? What big games did they win that helped make them relevant? They have 1 player that's ever talked about. I mean what about Tennessee is relevant? Other than bad news and 1 player how are they relevant? As a Florida fan did you look at the schedule this year and think "Oh man that Tennessee game is going to be a tough one." Tennessee isn't the only team with a storied history that's currently irrelevant.
