Wow. The US edition of Ford cars are pretty lame. They look like every other US cars, especially the front. Kinda reminds you of the 80s japanese sedans, which all looked more or less the same.

Ford Europe makes great small cars, 50+ mpg diesels, yet they are bound and determined too keep them out of the American market. Japanese car makers make excellent small cars as well, I had a Sherpa when I was in Australia and I would have brought it back with me except it would not fit in my carry-on - lol

Mazada makes used too make a 121 that was an excellent car. Still might for all I know cause they don't sell them in the US

I cannot figure why they won't just builf the smaller cars here, but oh well. Focus is curretly the smallest car Ford offers and it is not really a small car. I would say its a smalish midsized car. But my opinion aside the fact remains that the true small cars are not sold in the US by the major manufacturers.

What I can't figure out, is why they only bring the Focus sedan to the US. The hatchback is way better looking.
Oh, and the Ford Fusion is two different cars in US and in Europe. The US Fusion is what is called a Mondeo in Europe, while the european edition is, ehm... boring.

Edit: Oh yeah - and my car gets recalled too. Thank you Toyota.

all of you are crazy, doesnt matter what you drive...cars have 4 wheels and if their is ice and snow between the road and tires you have a chance at losing traction and sliding.

4 wheel drive means nothing if all 4 tires are on ice. 4 wheel drive is good when 1 tire hits ice and the others are able to grab the road it keep the car or truck stable.

but it doesnt mean you can't crash and burn.

It's usually a patch of slick ice that's the problem. 2 wheels spinning to gain traction is a lot better than 1- that's for sure.

    LOL

On another note I have a vehicle that's effected by the recall :suspect:

But I haven't had the issue yet...........I'm just glad they admitted the problem so we're freakin' aware instead of auto-gaspeddling into a bus full of nuns or some crap.

I still have love for toyota. If I had to buy a domestic...it would probably be a Chevy Malibu; I drove one....was pretty nice.

I will NEVER own or drive a Chevy, Ford or a GM product. I am Toyota loyal. Toyota Corolla was my very 1st car. I have a Lexus now which is just a souped up Toyota and I loves it. I want something sporty thinking BMW M series. I messed around and drove a friend of mines and it hauls butt.

Any front wheel driven car with any real weight on top of the two moving wheels will do fine in the snow. Nothing without tracks is good on ice. Except this.
