... after hearing this I'm glad he's gone. Don't come into a school rich with tradition and turn your back on it and replace it with some other's school ways. Tennessee played with fire and definitely got burned.

 

I've been calling him Lame Kiffin since he arrived at UT (maybe now you see why). I knew he was a snake. I don't mind that he's gone. I'm a Vols fan, but I'd rather see my favorite team lose with class then win with Kiffin. He's an awful person. Just a down right grimy goober.

I laughed when I heard he thinks Carson Palmer is explosive. LOL he's so slow in his mechanics and delivery of the ball, not to mention his 40 speed is slooooow. And why would he want his RB's looking like Reggie Bush? Possibly the worst best college player ever to play NFL ball. Travis Henry was 10X the back Bush is.

 

I won't lie. I was excited when he came in because I knew he'd bring in Monte and recruit like a champ. Fulmer wasn't a bad recruiter mind you, but over the last several years he was getting his butt kicked by the likes of Saban, Meyer and even Richt on the recruiting trail.

I liked that he came in and tried to jump start the swagger that used to be there when Manning, Lewis and other storied players were there. However, all the the bickering with Meyer started to get old, real fast. I started to take Meyer's side in some of the later arguments. Kiffin can take his recruiting violation self out to Infraction U and enjoy the weather.

I want someone with a backbone and a heart that'll bring UT up in the tradition it deserves.

Exactly. I liked the impression Kippy Brown gave off, but am not sure how he would be as a head coach. He seems like a great guy though and regardless of what happens, I hope he stays on staff. He could very well be the next head coach and turn out to be great.

If we happen to get Muschamp, I want some kind of agreement that he won't just stroll back into Texas when Mack Brown leaves. I want a guy that's here for a while again (as long as he's doing pretty well and improving the program). This is not a platform school or temporary resume builder.

The timing of all of this stinks for us. But hey, it's what happens and the mark of a good program is the ability to recover. The hire should be made very soon, like in a day or two, and we'll know more then. For now, I trust that Hamilton, Brown, and the rest of the staff are going to do their job well. Go Vols!
