i'll give you that if you want...same statement could be made for OLD WASHED UP COACHES.., so what leg are you standing on exactly?

    your fear of change?
    blind fanism?
    blind loyalty?
    just plain blind?

i mean if having a old coach or new coach means nothing in terms of playoffs or improving we should just have fisher signed to an infinite contact....

So because you might have a bad coaching sign you should never make one? Jim Zorn was doomed to fail anyway he's not a good example, he wasn't even supposed to be their head coach and Jim Mora failed in Atlanta, why Seattle gave him another shot I'll never know.

Yea your right Sparano and Smith did get worse but you know who else got worse? Jeff Fisher!

lol @ no correlation between new coaches and all the playoff coaches being new.

    No, of course not!

And please tell me, since the cop-out is "they inherited a good team"- what would our new coach be doing if one was hired?

Ah yes... that's right. BUT NO!! DON'T CHANGE!! I wish we could actually put our team in reverse, regress, and live these years all over again!! That's the safe thing to do! Mediocrity is a lot easier to deal with than taking a chance on success...

i'm the one with terrible logic?

"i don't know who would do better and i am in no way qualified to know which coaches would be successful or not, but jeff fisher should be fired because i say so." is great logic.

ok, for all the fly off the handle types, I'll ask a simple question: 'When did I say we keep Fisher?'

I'm sure people got that idea by suggesting that hiring a new coach is a big mistake with comments like this: for all the Singletaries and Sparanos there are the Zorns and Moras etc.

I never said keep Fisher, but I wish people would stop justifying, because one coach was a success, that a new coach is going to have the same success.
There is such finality in the statement, it's just blind faith.

When did I say it was a big mistake?

I am simply pointing out that a successful new coach isn't as final as OP made it.
