Just as I'm sure you would have said they would lose to Oklahoma or that Utah would lose to Alabama. Fact is you can't say "Boise State would lose to" without actually having a game, that's been proven time and time again. Until we have a playoff or if Boise joins the Pac 10 then they will never have a shot at a national championship which is a disgrace.

Besides TCU is the team everyone said would play Alabama if Texas lost to Nebraska and that if they had gotten to play Florida then they could give them a run for their money so it's not like Boise just beat a New Mexico or Nevada here.

What if there were a plus one game. Imagine the kind of buzz a TCU vs. Texas and Boise State vs. Alabama playoff would have generated.

TCU vs. Texas is the battle of Texas. You can't go wrong with intra state rivalries.

Boise State vs. Alabama - The game where Bama can get revenge against a NON BCS school from the west. Remember last year, Bama was manhandled by Utah. And think about Boise State, it would be a game where they could show off trick plays and let the entire nation know that their program wasn't a one year wonder.

You have the winner of these two epic clashes going for the national title. Think about the buzz for the 2 weeks before this game. It would be superbowl like.

And to the NCAA that says that a playoff would take away from academics, how do FCS Teams (1-AA) have a 16 team playoff and perform in the classroom at the same time? NCAA is full of crap. They are all money hungry s who nailed the concept of march madness but came up with a system that rewards being in a big conference, having a down year in your conference, and scheduling 6 cupcake games to pad your stats by the end of the season.

These smaller schools probably have better football teams. They have to go on the road and play teams that don't want to play them. If Oregon and the Pac 10 could drop boise state from the conference schedule, they'd do it in a heart beat. TCU beat much better opponents than Bama and Texas did combined. TCU beat 6 bowl winning teams during the regular season. Bama, Texas, or Florida don't have the kahunas to invite teams like Boise State or TCU to thier home field because they won't always win those games. But if you are the Citadel or Western Kentucky, come on down.

College Sports is corrupt. No one will admit it. It's the 600lb gorilla in the room. Anyone agree?

First off, the Pac 10 teams can drop Boise in the future if they wanted to, so I am not sure where you have this idea that they can't. Second off, both LSU and Arkansas have upcoming home/home series with TCU in upcoming years, and Oklahoma is also playing TCU in Oklahoma. Not to mention that Virginia Tech is playing Boise next year. Kind of hard to make an argument that no one will play TCU, when they have 4 games against SEC teams and one against Oklahoma already scheduled over the next 5 or 6 years.

What kind of moron are you?

    TCU's schedule:
    at Virginia
    vs. Texas St
    at Clemson
    vs. SMU
    at Air Force
    vs. Colorado State
    at BYU
    vs. UNLV
    at San Diego State
    vs. Utah
    at Wyoming
    vs. New Mexico

Who on this schedule is a quality opponent? Clemson? Air Force? Utah? Half of the schedule is made up of FCS caliber schools. And why should Alabama and Texas schedule TCU over Western Kentucky? They don't get a cakewalk conference schedule like TCU and Boise St.

Not to mention Boise's out of conference schedule was Oregon, UC-Davis, Miami (OH), and Tulsa. Other than Oregon, that is terrible. The 2nd best team in the WAC was Nevada, who was beaten 35-0 by Notre Dame and 45-10 by SMU. Boise's schedule was absolulely terrible. TCU did have some quaility teams, but they certainly didnt beat any top tier teams by any means.

look, stop pretending that you guys are smarter than the general public. stop lying to us saying that you don't want to interfere with mid-terms, diminish the regular season and prevent injuries. just tell us the reason is money and i will at least respect that.

You are the pot calling the kettle black. If Boise can't have cupcake games, then why does Alabama play weaker opponents than Boise? You know, those Sun Belt powerhouses such as FIU or the North Texas mean green.... Or what about those ballers at the University of Chattanooga.

Tulsa, Miami OH, and Nevada are much better than FIU, North Texas and Chattanooga.

Because Alabama plays in a much tougher conference. Boise proves they can beat Oregon after preparing for them all Summer, and then they can run the table on a bunch of cupcakes. Alabama, or basically any major conference school, is playing in big games almost weekly. Surely you would agree there is a difference in pulling off one big win in your first game of the year, and doing it week after week throughout the year? So no, I dont see any pots or kettles here unless you dont think a teams conference matters at all.

And BTW, Sagarin ranks Alabama as having the 12 toughest schedule. Boise's strength of schedule is 98th, and TCUs is 82. Take that as you will, but to compare Alabama's schedule to Boise's is beyond ludicrous.

No they don't which is why they are smaller conferences!

Do agree with your idea for a simple playoff in which #1 plays #4 in one bowl and #2 vs #3 in another and the 2 winners play a championship game.

The top 3 or 4 teams would crap all over your small school teams. You saw what happened to Cincinnati.

Bama would beat Boise State by 20 points or more.
