We should of lost :p... then we'd be top 10! haha

I don't think we have 13th with all the 8-8 ties?

Yes and it was a horrrible trade.

What we SHOULD have done. 2nd round drafted a CB, the best CB available. 3rd round drafted Jared Cook. Therefore we would still have our 2nd round in 2010. We also wouldn't have Sen'Derrick Marks (who doesn't play) and Ryan Mouton. Without Ryan Mouton we probably would have another win since he had those fumbles vs the Jets.

Heck Ryan Mouton was projected 5th rounder!

so of all the 7-9 teams, Jacksonville and Chicago of worse strength of schedule reagardless of tonight's game. Miami however has a much stronger strength of schedule regardless of how the Jets do tonight.

So the Dolphins would have gotten the 10th pick. The Titans then would have gotten the 11th pick without any tiebreaker needed

We should have a decent chance of landing Derrick Morgan. He should be number 1 on our list, since we lack a strong pass rushing DE.

The CB depth is weak in this class. I doubt Haden is a Top 20 pick in stronger class. I think we fix CB through FA, Carlos Rogers will be a hot commodity with the labor issues. I think that the labor issues will also help in giving us leverage for bringing back Bulluck.

Basically it's saying that many players who would be eligible for big pay days as unrestricted FA's, probably instead will become restricted FA's and more than likely have to stay with their team. This is all assuming no new labor agreement is reached.

right. I know and understand all the implications of the "uncapped season" (including the playoff teams not being able to sign someone till they lose someone and the more important lockout of the 2011 season)

and the no cap season helps us with bulluck the most in the sense of a second franchise tag, not contract leverage; the writers seem to be generally agreeing that it would be used on him

I don't see how this though would give us / make carlos rodgers a hot commodity

My basic point on Bulluck is that we should definitely be placing the franchise tag on him now, so I'd say it's pretty likely we retain him as of now. I doubt anyone would sign him as a restricted FA.

I was under the impression Rogers had been in the league longer than he had. My bad.

I was, however, semi optimistic that perhaps Demeco Ryans would be available and we could make a run at him. But that seems very unlikely now.
