Yeah, they don't keep up with our team at all.

I'm wondering why we've thrown all the plays out the window that we were running when we were just a desperate 0-6 team. We're playing like we're 13-3 now.

Fisher's conservative playcalling nearly and possibly should've lost us the game. Anyone can see that. We were a much better team.

I'm not calling for his head; I'm just saying that some of you need to open your eyes. His conservative ways are nothing new and they seriously need to change.

jeff fisher is an average coach which is why we'll never ever do anything more than average with him on the team. when his contract is up in a few years, he'll be a dude who coached the same team for like 17 years, was barely over 500, had a dismal playoff record, and 0 championships.

but Mark Schlereth says that hes one of the best coaches in the game so it must be true

The playcalling on Sunday was abysmal. If you didn't realize that, you don't know football.

The only reason we won was because of some great throws by Vince. There were minimal designed roll outs, minimal sweeps (CJs best play) and bootlegs. They aren't using our talent to their full advantage.

Like someone else said, Fisher is coaching like he did last year after we locked up the playoffs. Boring and from the pocket playcalling. He's lucky his players executed.

A couple misreads or bad throws by Vince and we lose that game. CJ up the middle is NOT how you utilize him.

And where the heck has the option been lately? It was working like a charm and then we inexplicably abandon it. I realize VY had a bit of a hammy issue this game but we haven't ran the option in weeks.

Why on earth would Bud bring in Mangini or Kubiak? That's a ridiculous argument. If you are trying to say what if we get a coach like Mangini or Kubiak then I'll take the time to respond. As I've said before, sure that could happen. We could end up with some scrub that makes Fisher look like Lombardi. But on the flip side, we could also end up with the guy that finally, FINALLY brings Nashville a championship. To me, taking the gamble is well worth it since we know all too well what we have in Fisher.... a guy that has repeatedly proven he can't take us all the way. If our next coach turns out to be a dud, fine. Fire him after he's had a fair shake. And on to the next one. Elite coaches aren't easy to find, but still, that's no excuse for keeping a slightly above average (at best) coach for almost two freaking decades. We know he isn't an elite coach. Let's try our luck with someone else and see how it goes. What's the worst that could happen? Start a season 0-6 with an extremely talented roster? Not win the Super Bowl? :ha:

I think it is the hammy, remember Vince coming up lame and KC coming in? Why risk VY getting hurt worse. He practiced very little this week so I can see why we didn't run it.

this whole issue boils down to the theorem "familiarity breeds contempt".

As Thomas Hobbes the English political philosopher would say. Starting a revolution to over throw a tyrant could result in your own death and/or losing the war (and the same old tyrant remains in power) or you win the revolution. If you manage to put a new king into power you could either put in place (someone you thought was going to better but is just) another tyrant (who is just as bad or worse then the last guy) or a better king you do like. So your chances of a positive outcome are not great.

Now I know Hobbes was talking about nations and kingly authority but his principles seem to fit. He was basically saying that the kings authority was not to be questioned but if you going to try and overthrow the king you better be damn sure you have the right guy for the job in the waiting.

Is the risk worth the possible reward? Is there another coach out there right now that could take over and make the organization and team a great/better one?

I'll leave that open because I don't know who's available to coach next year. So I'll leave that for everyone else to discuss.

As for my opinion on Jeff, I'm holding off on what I think until after the result of this season is over. Even though we only have a slight chance to make the playoffs I doubt anyone here would agree that we should fire Jeff F. now with two games to go. At the end of the season when the Titans have no more ball games that's when I think it is appropriate to discuss the coach's ability/production over the entire season. What if we some how miraculously make the playoffs? and miraculously win the Superbowl? This is not likely at all, but there is a chance and like my Dad always told me you never give up if there is still hope. Once hope dies then you can discuss revolution and the rolling of heads.

Bill Cowher would be a great replacement.
