    Well...

I doubt he comes out though if many other juniors stay, he could come out. I'd take Derrick Morgan or Greg Romeous before him. Of course we could see Hughes, Graham, Kindle, Sapp, Selvie and Hardy around in rnds 1-2...so could be quite a lot of pass rushers...

DraftCountdown (IMO the best mock draft site) just released a new mock today that has the Titans taking Kindle. I know nothing about the guy. Can anyone catch me up to speed?

I'm not so sure a DE will be taken in the 1st round. William Hayes has shown he can play and Jacob Ford has alot of upside as a speed rusher. Kinda reminds me of back in the day when you had The Freak(Speed) on one side and Kevin Carter(Rush D) on the other side. There are many other pressing needs on D other than DE. Tully is solid but I have said since Godfrey left that Titans need a GAME changing MLB. Brandon Spikes could be that guy. He plays tough and fast. Rolando McClain, I believe, would be an EXCELLENT fit, if he decides to come out.

    Well...

Kindle's one of those excellent athlete that hasn't quite put it all together as a football player...yet. Because of his excellent athleticism and size, he can make a game changing play at any time, but he also disappears for stretches.

So he's a bit of a boom or bust guy as an NFL prospect right now but he has the upside of a dominant DE or OLB in a 3-4. I expect his stock to go up as I think he will be a workout warrior. Let's see what he does in the National Title game...

I like to see top prospects play in Bowl games...especially if they are playing against similar competition.

    Well...

Here's the thing. If we don't re-sign Tulloch and bring in McClain, is he gonna be on the field on 3rd down? If the answer is NO...he's not worth a first rnd pick since right now our MLB plays only 50% of the snaps (at best) since Bulluck and Thornton are the 2 coverage LB's in the Nickel. It's also WHY a starting CB is a more pressing need since a #2 CB will play almost 100% of the defensive snaps.

And while Ford and Hayes seem to be doing a fine job, I don't think they are scaring anyone right now so bringing in a difference maker either at DE or DT would be the biggest bang for our buck (whether that be via free agency or the draft).

We need to add a playmaker to the DL as well as a dominant CB to pair with Finny. Right now, I'd say Bulluck and Tulloch are our 2 best LB's. If we lose KVB, Kearse, and Bulluck in one off-season, this D will take a major hit...even if we spend our 1st rnd pick on a new OLB. AND, we still need to upgrade CB when Harper leaves...

IF McClain can be as good as Bulluck in the nickel...then they can draft him, but if our DL doesn't improve or they don't sign a dominant CB to replace Harper, how do you think our D will be much better next year?

The ONE thing keeping this team from being a Super Bowl contender is a dominant D. Since this scheme is built on a dominant front 4, it makes sense to address that first, then grab a dominant CB and then worry about the LB corp last. Plus, we need to upgrade at least one spot on the OL as well. Re-sign Bulluck and Tulloch and you can focus on UPGRADING the D as opposed to rebuilding it.

After thinking...forget taking a MLB in the 1st round. I dont know how I'm from Florence and didnt think about this.....Michael Johnson, MLB, University of North Alabama. Dude is a BEAST if you haven't heard about him, look him up. He won the Ron Lenz National Defensive Player of the Year which isn't just for D2 its all of college football. He has the size 6'4" 250lbs and the speed to be a great MLB. Look him up and see for yourself.
