Put down the bottle. He had nearly 200 all purpose yards from scrimmage, putting him in striking distance to beat Faulk's record of 2,429. He is now at 2,017.

So now all purpose yards are bogus? Yards are yards, period. I usually agree with your arguments, but this one is way out there.

I'm not saying they're not important.

I'm saying CJ SHOULD have had 400 all purpose yards today and had time to sip gatorade and rest through the 4th quarter.

He was pretty much shut down- or as close as it gets to shutting him down, vs a terrible rushing defense. Which was easily predictable because you can do this with the Titans EVERY week.

Last week: J. Addai only had 7 rushing TDs all year- we knew he'd get at least 2 on us.
Earlier: The Patriots were struggling with average teams- we knew they'd blow us out and get back on track.

It's every week. Every season. Every team. We never expose their #1 weakness. We instead help it the best we can. The best examples are when we had the best run D in the league, but would let nobodies tear us up.

Dang man...enjoy the win and the fact that CJ is getting over 100 yds a game.

You can complain and paint negativity on anything...it must be what keeps you alive...jeeebus...

You're not wrong. Earlier, the board was lit up with talk of CJ getting the NFL rushing record. Now, thanks to the "low" rushing yards of the past two games, that's not really possible. CJ needs to average just under 200 yards in the remaining games. That's not going to happen. Only thing he can hope for now is the "all-purpose" yards - which, frankly, I consider a running back's "Participation Award" for almost getting there!

We SHOULD have had a crap-load of yards rushing.

I'm happy with the yards and the win... but, considering CJ is one of the best running backs in the NFL, he should have had a LOT of rushing yards.

This seems to correspond with how the Titans seem to consistently make backup QBs look fantastic against us...

our sweeps piss me off so much... we need that quik pitch, that was my bread and butter in madden. i also liked how the misdirection worked early in the game, and then we were like ok that type of play is good for a 40 yard gain, lets do that as little as possible.

He needs 375. 125 a game. He is averaging exactly 125 a game at this point. 161 a game, or 481 more, and he breaks the record. He could get a VERY large portion of the yardage against a beaten, hopeless Seahawks team. And in that game he'll know exactly how many yards he needs. They'll prolly have a little counter on the screen during the game or something...can't wait.
