Thank you. Hope is up and down I'll grant you that (one year looks like a pro bowler the next he looks lost) but with good corners and a pass rush he usually looks like the former.

Besides if you DON'T go QB in round 1 then what? Your looking at another year with Collins and Young, do you want that so you can have Eric Berry who MAYBE but probably wont be as good as Ed Reed?

You don't go QB if none of them are there. The last thing a franchise needs to do is reach for some chump QB. I think Clausen will be the only top-tier QB in this draft, and if we don't move ahead of the Rams or Carolina, then we're not getting him.

Berry can play any of the 5 secondary positions. He could very easily play corner in our scheme, and would probably be better than Harper from day 1.

    Can Berry play QB?

Probably. 2010 just may not be the year of the franchise QBs. Plus there's a lot of competition to get one considering us, St. Louis, Washington, and Carolina are all in the market...and will all have top picks. You could maybe throw Oakland in that mix too....

Saying there's going to be a lot of competition to get a QB isn't a reason to not want one.

If you draft Berry then great you got Griffin and Berry at safety and Collins and Young still at QB, that seems like a pretty lousy plan to me.

I'm completely in the 'QB is the #1 priority' boat. I just don't think there are going to be many available. I personally think Clausen is going to be the only true top-tier guy. People will argue for Bradford and Pike, but they both have a ton of red-flags.

If we aren't in a position to take a QB, then Berry or Suh make a ton of sense. They will both be guys that 31 other teams wish they would've taken, simple as that.

If Clausen or Bradford are gone I'd go with Suh, Gerald McCoy, Dunlap, Weatherspoon, and Hardy over Berry. All are equally as good as Berry is at his position yet they fill a much bigger need. I'm also not so sure Taylor Mays won be the #1 safety in this draft.

Dunlap is garbage and is almost guaranteed to stay in...might not even be projected as a first rounder if he came out this year. McCoy is solid but is DT really any more of a need than secondary? He has also had somewhat of a down year. I would take Weatherspoon if their intention was to move him inside, but if they're looking for an inside guy Spikes and McClain are both better. Hardy is not a top-10 pick either. It's looking like it's going to be a bad year to be needing a QB or a pass-rusher at the top of the draft.

Taylor Mays is not even in the same league as Berry. Golden Tate abused him and so did Oregon State's receiving corps last night. Al Davis is the only human being in the NFL that would think Mays is better.
