This was from July. If you think about the recent time line for the Titans, he has every right to wonder. How did we win anything?

We were awful in 04 and 05. Thanks to Vince running for his life most games, we get to 8-8, despite a god-awful defense that year.

The next year, the defense magically fixes itself, and is compensating for an offense whose main catalyst from the year before is thoroughly game-planned against by every DC in the league. The defense drags the offense kicking and screaming into the playoffs at 10-6 one year after being one of the worst units we've had in recent memory.

The next year, we add a speed back, switch out the inconsistent for 2 seasons QB for an inconsistent for 15 seasons QB, and somehow go (A LEAGUE BEST) 13-3.
Offense goes from scoring 18.8ppg to 23.4ppg. Defense stays at about the same level. (14.6ppg)

The very next season. Change 2 starters, one of which is an awful receiver, the other is on the D-line, who leaves for the largest contract ever for a D-lineman due to his absolutely dominating play, however we still have 3 members in the secondary that all went to the pro-bowl the previous year. Three viable weapons (Cook, Wash, Britt) are added to the offense.

    The team starts 0-5.
    Offense is scoring 16.8 ppg.
Defense is allowing 27.8 ppg. The secondary gives up more passing yards than any other team in the league. The run defense, meanwhile, is 3rd best in the league.

Message boards are back-logged as fans debate heatedly who all should be fired.

MostPopular options: Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator, Starting QB, Back-up QB, 3 Special teams returners.

The sad thing is, there are very legitimate reasons for wanting turnover at every single listed position, and a few more that aren't even on here.

    Did we have this coming?

[EDIT] I misspelled the radio voice of the Music City Miracle. If anyone feels the need to revoke my fan card, I would not blame them.

    lol

getting a great QB is always a challenge. At any given time there are only 4-5 dominate QBs, usually less than that.

Makes sense to me. Can't draft that badly for years and expect to win consistently. Last year is looking like it was the exception rather than the rule.

A great QB fixes NOTHING when we give up 30 points a game.

A great QB goes a long way in giving the defence more rest on the sideline, so they hopefully don't give up 30 points a game.
