Vince was in a no win situation, but he did help himself with that 3rd and long scramble. Collins would have never gotten away. So Vince did get something out of nothing. We knew he could do that but it was good to see it happen.

True, but I've never seen him stiff-arm a LB during one of his runs...particularly one that puts them to the ground and injures them.
That right there made it one of his better runs IMO. :ha:
Doing that to defenses, IMO, breaks them down harder than if they were getting burned through the air.

Im curious, since when is it a sin to look at the scoreboard before going in? You know that scoreboard as alot of information on it. Such as time left in the game, timeouts remaining, hell even the score. If you are going in, you need to know if you are looking at 3 touchdowns and a field goal or 4 touchdowns. All the VY haters are trying to make this into an issue when it simply isnt.

I play rec league basketball and I always look at the scoreboard before going in so I am completely familiar with where me and my team stands.

Bingo ! Some people are just looking for anything little thing to satisfy their argument that VY should just stay on the sidelines. If Patrick Ramsey had done that it would have been brushed off as nothing significant..because it in actuality it isnt

Or worse, if it was Ramsey, they would have said that he was being attentive and focusing to go into the field.

I'm saying that Chow was praised after Young's rookie season whether he deserved it or not. He did simplify the offense and cut the field in half for Young. I'm sure he also coached Young to take off if his initial read was covered.

Chow was unable to do much after the league adjusted their schemes to limit Young's runs. Some say Chow was over his head from the start. Others say Young handcuffed him because of his total lack of ability in reading defenses.

I think it was a little of both.

Chow's offense was pretty much run, run, pass, punt. If he was making the offense simpler for Vince, than why was Vince passing on 3rd down so much? That is where many picks in the league come from.
