As a Colts fan, the "Fire Fisher" talk puzzles me.

I'm sure you would disagree but I'd say a player can be truly elite without ever winning a championship, a coach cannot (according to the vast majority of people who aren't Jeff Fisher fans). A player is but one man on a huge roster. It's easy for a great player to get lost in a funnel of crap. It doesn't work the same way for coaches. At some point a coach has to win the big one if they are going to be considered elite.

pony express, dont be so sure that JF had nothing to do with Haynesworth leaving.. he in fact had everything to do with the departure of AH. AH wanted out of tennessee badly, he felt he was a dead man walking here because it is well known AH has said that once the coaches have passed judgement on you here you become a dead man walking and currently, Bulluck believes he is this years DMW. There's a lot that will be coming out from under the wood work soon, and dont be surprised if we start hearing what Norm has to say about this situation. JF isn't out of the clear by any means.

And do you honestly think with the play of all three units so far, that the team has been 'ready'?
    Not from what I've seen.

Your example here is more comparable to Alge's last year in the p/o game, not Mouton's this season.

He was supposed to keep Mark Jones, and get rid of Henry BEFORE the season started. The fact that they brought Jones back and ditched Henry, alone tells me he screwed up and tried to right it too little too late.

I think it's Fisher's refusal to admit his mistakes while pointing the finger in every other direction except towards himself is what's pissin' me off the absolute most. That's followed closely by his staunch refusal to make even the slightest adjustments.

Were the Titans of that time in need of a quarterback? The draft tends to be a crapshoot... woolfolk sure looked like a physical freak coming out of college. He was a stud corner for us for quite sometime..........

    O.K. How about Marv Levy.....

The only NFL coach to coach teams that won four straight league or conference championships
Guided the Bills to six division championships (including four consecutive from 1988–1991)
Compiled a 17–6 record (14–6 in the regular season and 3–0 in the post-season) against the winningest coach in NFL history, Don Shula. He is the only coach to have a winning record against Shula.
One of only 14 coaches to win 100 games with one NFL team
The only coach to compete in four Super Bowls in a row
Retired at the age of 72; tied with George Halas as the oldest head coach in NFL history.
First USFL alumnus to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame

"The man's an intense competitor, a brilliant game strategist, a tireless motivator, and somebody who couldn't spell the word "quit" if you spotted him three letters."

I don't know about that 'brilliant game strategist' comment. According to Gerrard, he knew exactly what the defense was going to do because he had watched a couple of game films last week. So he truly a 'field' day, since he threw all over the field with impunity. Now-does that sound like a brilliant game strategist to you?

As a retired teacher, I can tell you now that eventually, you find yourself unable to relate to the changing attitude and outlook of the young ones, and you think that the old ways are the best ways when in reality, they are not. That is when you either change or get out. And that is what Fisher needs to think about. His inability/resistance to change has now cost us three games. What was done in the first season game was done in Sunday's game. That is NOT a mark of an innovative coach or a coach who is willing to rethink what he and his coaching staff are doing.
